I'd probably have preferred 3 years with a 1 year option knowing how we do things with renewals, but at low cost and aged 28, I don't think it's all that odd. At the minute current situation I'll take 2 years at best and hopefully and extensionย Quote

It's the rest of the stuff he's crap at - tracking back, holding the ball up, marking his man, running with his man, running in behind. Comfortably gave away more goals than he created last year.ย Edited 7 hours ago by Exiled_Rover 10 Quote
Ricky Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago See Sam Barnes has joined the PFA pre season training thing. Assuming heโs been released from Barrow after not really featuring for them. Patrick Bauer also on there. Iโm sure heโs one we were linked to many moons ago.ย Quote
Ricky Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Angus Gunn also on the list. Wouldnโt be the worst shout if Pears leaves as a back up keeper.ย 1 Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Having watched the game today the two glaring problems for me are starting RW and backup CM (assuming Tavares is actually any good). We can probably quite happily alternate DeNeves and Kargbo on the left (with Leonard / Ohashi et al rotating in there as the season goes on). On the right though you simply can't go into the season with Hedges as your starter - he offers nothing going forward (but yes I'll concede he works hard to protect his FB).ย At CM, especially playing this system, you're going to run into the same problem we had at around December last year - we're going to run Tronstad and Travis into the ground. We need two good backups - let's say Tavares is one and Forshaw / Montgomery (I doubt it to be honest) rotate as the 5th option. You need another good player in there who can start midweek without a second thought from the manager - whether that lad from the Swiss league is it I don't know.ย Buckley needs to be shipped out.ย Bonus points if you can also snag a striker who can run in behind.ย Quote

Also Wharton is chronically injured, and while Hyam was ever present last season he had serious injury issues year before. Does feel like we are very light if we dont get one more senior CB.ย Quote
