TimmyJimmy Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Can't pretend I'm happy with the amount of changes we've made, we're a completely new side and I'm uncomfortable. Yet, the one position I think we're still crying out for is an out and out specialist time served card carrying striker. We'll never see the likes of Shearer ever again but at least something to get the pulse racing a little bit. Please, no more centre backs, full backs, mids, wings or any other ruddy position just spend a nice fat big fee on a marquee hit man to keep me sane. 6 Quote

MarkBRFC Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Be some 150th anniversary waffle no doubt. It's the only thing anyone at the club knows how to do to celebrate things, wheel quick videos out from past players saying what a wonderful club we are etc. 7 Quote

Then back up with the academy where they have one ready: GK - Toth, Pears (Michalski) RB - Miller, Alebiosu (Montgomery) Lcb - Wharton, McLauchlanย Rcb - Hyam, Carterย LB - Ribeiro, Pickering DM - Sonny, Forshaw, (Montgomery) CM - Trav, Tavaresย AM - Cantwell, Henriksson (Tyjon) RAM - NEW, Hedges LAM - De Neve, Kargbo ST - Ohashi, Gueye, (Leonard) (Tyjon) Based on this, the only glaring need is RAM, which is aligned to what Rudy / VI are saying. The rest will come down to any sales and replacements. I reckon after the RAM, youโre looking at a loan to cover Carter, a keeper if / when Pears leaves, and Baradji if / when Trav leaves. Fully expect Buckley and probably Garrett to leave permanently, with the likes of Duru and Batty to go out on loan. Will likely be a question of which of the other academy grads they believe are good enough to play out of Pratt? Edmondson? Mularkey Matthews? Letโs see. Also - I personally like the idea of Myoshi, who would be a great addition, but I just donโt see it, unless itโs much cheaper than ยฃ2m. We wouldnโt drop that money on a 28yr old with no resell potential. I have no doubt, heโs โon The listโ but it wouldnโt surprise me if the story has been leaked from his camp to flush out buyers. The only way I see it happening is for a much reduced fee. Iโm also dubious about the way this has come out, because players we sign donโt tend to come out like this. We donโt seem to court them publicly, it usually goes from 0-100 fast.ย I like the way you've divided "midfield" up into FIVE different segments to try and justify the number of midfielders. Lol. We agree on the pressing need for a new RAM as you call it (or RW as I would call it) but where are the 2 senior alternatives for Ohashi and Gueye? IF we got all those 3 (currently we have none) then we'd be looking a lot better placed to tackle the season. 1 Quote

If you look, he has divided the team into 11 different segments/positions, almost like we have to name a starting 11, and generally play with 5 midfielders & 1 striker I do not think this negates the need for at least one more central striking option though Edited 3 hours ago by KentExile 2 Quote

Lancaster Rover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I think we are terrifyingly short on the right hand side, I think Miller will be a good addition though may take some time to adjust and Alebiosu is an unknown at this stage. Our only wide option is currently Hedges unless we try Kargbo off the right on his 'natural' side.ย 4 Quote

That should be the priority for the remainder of the window, as well as if they do decide to ship Travis off, in which case I imagine they'll take the risk on Baradji (if they can also get shut of Mafoumbi).
