Just feel complete disconnect to the club if I'm honest..

Doesn't feel like Blackburn Rovers anymore.  Please just sell the club.  

Also, don't really like this strategy of forcing out our own and replacing them with cheap foreign imports. Whilst some of the lads might lack in certain areas, at least they all have an affinity towards the club after coming through the ranks..

We presently have 8 central midfielders and IMO:

Travis:  going

Tronstad:  anyone else thinking he looks off the pace this season, maybe disinterested?  At best, we have him for this season only.

Tavares:  showed up well last night but let's keep into context given opposition were League 2 last season and also made 6 changes last night.

Axel:  couple of nice passes but doesn't look like he'll do the hard graft and could be something of a loose canon (will collect bookings for fun)

Buckley:  we know he's not the answer and needs to go (worrying Ismael brought him back into the fold last night)

Forshaw:  we didn't want him at the end of the season but signed him out of desperation in June when little else seemed to be happening.  Unsurprisingly injured.  Wages down the sh1tter, no longer young enough / good enough to start a match, at best a 10 minute sub 'cameo' towards the end of a game

Montgomery:  an over-hyped young player who most likely found his level at Marine / Chorley last season.  This lad is 21 and it's not a case of 'he's not ready', it's a case of he never will be ready, simply not good enough.  Shown no footballing ability at all to me.

Garrett:  struggled to even make loans at lower league clubs work - surely when he recovers from his surgery he'll be out the door in January

So when Travis goes, think we will need at least one more midfielder through the door as 4 of our current 8 are simply deadweights.

Take Trav and Tronstad out of that list and its barely a League One midfield.

Tavares sounds promising based on last night, but it looks like Axel is going to need half a season minimum to get up to speed.

Feel for Montgomery, he's been overhyped by the club when the reality is he's unlikely to ever be the required standard. League Two at best I suspect. Same with Garrett.

Forshaw half retired at this point.

Not surprised with Travis asking to leave. Don't blame the lad he did his best. Just wish the headline was Venkys asking to leave.

Hard relegation season ahead with probably numerous head coaches.

The owner/excuse of a board MO is simply to reduce costs. 

This has been on the cards for a couple of years.  We got away with penny pinching  under JDT and Eustace but most fans could see there would be issues coming - as the owners/management were just kicking the can (contracts/signings)  down the line.  We got lucky with a couple of competent managers but they could see the issues, raised them and then walked away.  To anybody with a bit of common sense, that's as big a warning as you need.  Two experienced football men left because the club, in their eyes, wasn't being run right.  Snakes my arse.  

So here we are. 

This manager has no defined system that I can see.  I have no idea how this guy wants to play.  If we could see he offered something different, it would be something to cling to. 

The academy players seem a weak cohort - which happens.  It's just happened this season, which is like a perfect storm. 

There is nothing left  of value to sell, yet we can't afford to buy without selling.  

We won't pay championship wages..

There is no interest from the owners. There is no plan to succeed.  

We will go down without a whimper. 

We are are a husk of a club.

A shame for Tyjon who could've used the Carabao as a stepping stone into the first team, but like last season we went out early.

I'd be tempted to sell him for £1m if that's Arsenal's offer and used the funds to strengthen our best 15. Can't see him getting much playing time in a struggling team unless Cantwell leaves.

Im not a Derby fan and never will.... Travis can go there, dont give a toss anymore. He wants more money and avoid Venkys. Hopefully one day we will rise. Its a shame we cant compete anymore with champinship clubs. And for me Eustace is a rat taking advantage of our situation. End of.

What's the sum of all parts in the Rovers team at the moment, if Travis isn't playing?

Total transfer fees paid for our starting eleven must be a lot less than £10m?

Toth, Miller, Tavares - £1M at most each (no way with all the cuts we paid £2M up front for Tavares, its will be at most half initially)

Hyam - was it £2.5M?

Ribeiro, Tronstad - free

Hedges £600K 

Ohashi - low 6 figures (so no more than £0.5M

Mc Loughlin, Cantwell, De Neve - £0.5M each

 

So somewhere under £9M, for the first 11

 

Gueye £1M - £1.5M

Alebiosu - £0.5M

Pickering £600K

O'Riordan £0.5K

Forshaw - free

Kargbo -£1M

Henriksson - £750K

Pears £500K 

Wharton, Buckley, Travis, Carter, Montgomery, Tyjon, Michalski - youth

 

And probably less than £14M for the whole squad

Leaving West Brom and one of their fans said ‘you best get used to results like that with that manager in charge’. Not rated there at all and it’s becoming very clear why. He has done nothing in his career. Had one good spell at Barnsley which was more down to the roots laid by the now Bristol City manager. He’s a nobody, a journeyman and in any normal football world would be nowhere near our club.

Aye, but they don't play in the famous blue and white shirts and aren't based at Ewood Park. Therefore they aren't Blackburn Rovers, and don't deserve your support.

Isn't it horrible when a crime is perpetated right in front of your eyes, in graphic detail and in the light of day, yet you are powerless to do anything about it?
