Also - I wonder if this is a squad that’s now less than 100% wage to turnover? I think the last accounts had us at 120% but it would definitely point towards potential for @joey_big_nose suggestions that this is the “start of that story”

Think Gardner Hickman will be CM (majority of his appearances have been there). Also think Miller will be RB which leaves us dangerously short at CB. Miller used in emergency for now.

Alebiosu probably earned first choice at the minute. There are a couple others who can play other positions too but i agree that CB has been left criminally short.

I fall on the other side of that unfortunately

you can’t claim to love rovers knowing what’s going on in the background but be happy to be paid off for silence

Travis not a word / Buckley not a word / Leonard not a word

Iv slight sympathy for your standard employee but at the end of the day accepting a payoff is wrong if you feel so strongly about something and feel there is genuine gross misconduct at the work place

You leave your integrity at the door when you sign on as a professional footballer

Things only come out years later in little bits when players are long retired and chatting on podcasts to other ex players.

The unwritten rule in that industry is obviously keep your mouth shut whilst you are still working.

Good enough to pick up a few points but no squad depth again this season, where are the goals going to come from - and how many matches until this team has found its rhythm?

That’s a team of greenhorns and the not good enough. This window has ensured that not only are we in danger of getting relegated it’s quite possible that we’ll finish bottom

Gestede is clearly an incredibly arrogant man, we’re talking Trump levels IMO. He showed it as a player and now with greater power showing his true colours on a daily basis. I genuinely think he believes himself to be some sort of recruitment genius and that these players will turn out to be stellar signings he can sell for profit, and if not I’m sure he benefits in the same way Kean and pals did from random European transfers.

Venkys have been here 15 years not much has come out at all

all paid off - all about the money

if you really wanted to you could come out with a well worded statement ie in Travis case with all the alleged information in the public domain about refusing to play/train etc he could easily have stated that was incorrect

Based on the ‘24 accounts we’d need to have reduced our weekly wage bill by around £78,000.

This is on the assumption our turnover has remained static.

Thankfully we’re on a league with sheff w who will fall off a cliff after a while hull who just look poor in general and an Oxford team that just isn’t that good

but we are in that pack

Final income tally. Feel free to correct me if I miss something and I'm rounding up on the reported fee's.

Brittain 3.5m

Trav 3.5m

Hyam 2.7m

JRC 1m

Buckley 1m

Leanord 1m

Chelsea kid 1m

Telalovic sell on 300k

Dolan 280k

Total 14.28 million.

Hard to calculate the expenditure but if you believe the reported fee's it's around 9.5 million. Personally I think it's lower than that, more like 7-8 mill.

I really hope not. I think we've just enough to stay up this season.

This was never about contracts

This is ALL on Rudy gestede, his treatment of staff and players and total arrogance.

This started in the last summer when JE invited Weimann to train at Rovers to earn a contract. Gestede hit the roof and wanted him off the training ground.

JE convinced Waggott Weimann could do a job, against Gestedes wishes. That was the beginning of the end of JE and Gestedes relationship.

The day JE left Weimann was summoned by Gestede and informed his days at Rovers were over. Weimann opted to then have a little op to ensure he could get new club in summer.

This was pure spite by Gestede as he didn't forgive JE for bringing Weimann in.

Gestede then pushed a number of employees out the door for none performance related issues . One employee due to not covering her arms at the training ground.

Ive spoken to a number of employees who have departed and some there, but to protect their identities and in some cases NDAs I wont name them

The senior players and sadly Leonard challenged Gestede for dressing down employees and being nasty and in some cases making them cry.

Leonard for his part was banished to train with the kids.

The rest for none footballing reasons and certainly not for contractual reasons (you actually need to be offered a contract to sign one) have all been dismissed this window (all members of the players council).

How anyone can defend the ciub is beyond me.

The best thing about x now is no one can see who likes your tweets. My own tweets its rather damning given the amount of players,,relatives and staff are liking what im posting. (As people know I wil never post a thing i can't prove).

No Gestede , JE would not have exited thats a fact.

These lads not being offered contracts which was RG job, is not an error. It was deliberate to drive them out the club.

I believe (my opinion) the damage hes created in one summer is more than any single person has at any time in the last 15 years.

This aint a plan of success, this is malicious and been made personal due to people refusing to accept bullying at our training ground

Many current staff are walking on egg shells in fear .

One significant departed member of staff i spoke to for 2 hours on the phone a couple of weeks ago and it was extremely alarming whats gone down at the training ground.

Strangely Suhail is barely mentioned in any if these conversations. Its always Gestede.

This aint gonna end well unless that man is removed

This pillock Gestede is an absolute loose Cannon and MUST be removed somehow.

The Pre and Post Match Protests must start again Glen or we are finished.

Quite a lot comes out in just throwaway lines in the wider context of interviews.

You'll never get anyone saying 'I'm going to lift the lid' on the chaos at Blackburn under Venkys.

Rarely happens in the world of football and why would Travis or someone like that do it ?

It's not about the fans to 99% of players. they have their differences with people at clubs but once they are out they tend to wash their hands of it.

Plus people like Venkys have far more powerful laywers.

Lift the lid no not likely but anything involving them

isak has stated the club failed to oblige a promise made to him

wissa something similar stating the club are trying to prove him out of a move after they had an agreement

wouldn’t have/wont take much to come out with a statement to back yourself and state that I didn’t refuse to train/play - doesn’t have to go into great detail but radio silence from all involved means fans will always be divided in terms of whether the allegations/rumours are actually true

I’d be very disappointed if that’s actually Lyndsey.

If so I'm guessing she is another on the gravy train, despite being all nicey nicey in meetings etc.

This is not as enlightening as Glen's post but I was told last week that all the meat bought in for the STC and Academy is now Halal at the insistence of Gestede.

Neither JDT or JE would have accepted that window.

Will VI?

If he does then I’d say he’s part of the problem.

That's exactly what I was thinking around 4.00am this morning, as I struggled to sleep due to this lot.

Any self respecting person, would steam into the office this morning, play holy roaring fuck and shove their contract right up Gestede's and Pasha's arses.

I feel like doing it myself and I am just a fan.

Great stat that. You really come up with some good ones. Thanks @wilsdenrover.

We've turned over 8 experienced players (Brittain, Hyam, Travis, Baath, Wieman, Dolan, Buckley, JRC).

It does seem a stretch that we will have come down 10k per week per player though... I guess the last accounts would have had players from the season before in there too (Szmodics) but then we took on a lot of cost too (Cantwell).

I guess not having a CEO saves 7k a week. You can draw a line from a lot of our seemingly mad decisions to reducing this one figure.
