I predict Gestede will be lauding him as a flexible left back turned centre half in this forthcoming podcast. I was quite surprised that Pickering didn’t get a move. After all we have DeNeve as a back up left back. 1 Quote

I'd suggest if they'd any sense at all they'd have loaned out DeNeve that lad needs some robust games in lge 1. Quote

B16Rover Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Just a quick one. I thought we weren't getting loans in. Wasn't that part of the plan Quote

Popular Post philipl Posted 6 hours ago Popular Post Posted 6 hours ago As Glen has posted, the situation at Rovers is far worse and far more perilous than even the "negative" posters are saying. I am more worried and scared for our club now since John Williams left. 18 Quote

With the latter, it felt like there was a change of mind, but it came came too late. 4 Quote
sharpysharps86 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I think its pretty clear to see that Gestede is making himself the new 'villain' at Rovers. We've seen a few of them in the Venky's era, but Gestede clearly doesn't appear to be able to take any kind of criticism well, so it'll only snowball into an even more toxic situation until he eventually leaves the club...and then given the track record of the owners we'll simply move onto the next circus clown. 3 1 Quote
Browjd Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Any tiny chance, even a glimmer of hope that this significant cut costing, removing big wages, not appointing a CEO yet, etc is all part of preparing the club for a sale?! Close your eyes and imagine the day..... 7 Quote

On football matters, saying we played well is subjective what isn't is the fact we have played 5 and lost 4. Edited 6 hours ago by ToonRover 2 1 Quote

Popular Post Trinidad Rover Posted 6 hours ago Popular Post Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Interesting post on LinkedIn from Gregg Broughton. I imagine he is looking at this situation with a great degree of vindication. In hindsight, he did a good job not just on transfers but also contract renewals. The key difference to Gestede, he didn't seem to be an arrogant, ego driven piece of work (note his praise for others). Rather someone who genuinely had good intentions and wanted the best for the club. Likely why he was shown the door. Sad. Edited 6 hours ago by Trinidad Rover 16 Quote

I'm just a supporter with zero inside knowledge. People post stories, like this one, online, and I've no idea how true it is. I don't know how you get this information or what puts you in this sort of position to do so, if what you get told is hearsay with added VAT, or if it's wholly accurate. While it certainly fits the narrative of nasty owners and people within the club, I can't just take your word for it. The only thing I can judge the club on is what happens on the pitch. The rest is hearsay. He knows Balaji Rao and his people and has done for about 14 years. Balaji made himself quite accessible during the times of protest. I know that J*B and a few others met with him in Manchester but when they got there he wouldn't say anything on the record. I was supposed to be there but was working. Shebby Singh was the same. Jordan Rhodes was pretty much a Glen Mullan signing. 1 Quote
