Correct, I was looking at the wrong team ! For some reason I’d got it into my head he was playing for  Peterboro.

That's Leonard who went Peterborough, that'll be why you thought that.

Yeah, I was mixing the two up. I thought they were both equally ineffectual to be honest.

I very nearly said something similar in my post but decided against it. I do rate Leonard a little higher though, mostly because he would actually work and didn't act like he didn't want it. Vale was frequently lazy in a Rovers shirt.

Another member of staff gone, & to the Dingles

https://trainingground.guru/bulletin-board/

Adam Collins has left Blackburn Rovers to become Head of Academy Operations at local rivals Burnley.

Collins had been Head of Performance Analysis for both the first team and Academy at Rovers since November 2022.

He has previously worked for both Manchester United, as Performance Analyst for the first team, and Manchester City, as Head of Performance Analysis for the Academy, as well as for Sheffield United and Scunthorpe United.

Writing on LinkedIn about his new role at Turf Moor, he said: “It takes me back into the Academy and learning environment full-time, where my passion has always been….at an exciting time, with the Academy recently returning to Category 1 status.”

Looks like he was already replaced over the summer

We refused to sign any player commanding a decent wage, sold any that did and it's already showing.

This season's going to end in relegation. Selling Hyam on deadline day saw to that, no matter how they choose to dress it.

We're changing centre back pairings every game because 2 of the 3 centre backs can't play this often and none stand out, for some reason Gestede is probably still smirking...... and for some reason he has a senior job at Rovers.

Turmoil behind the scenes, no leadership, no owners present and a cheap squad that doesn't know the league and isn't up to it.

Kargbo and De Neve can't keep Hedges out the team, a winger who doesn't know where the goals are.... inexcusable they didn't bring in upgraded wingers on both flanks and weakened the defence.

I'd say sack the lot but what's the point........... Venky's are the real problem. Sadly it's their club.... and it's an embarrassment off the field.

A predictably disastrous summer window off the back of a dreadful January window.

Alebiosu is a downgrade on Brittian but hes by far our most promising signing. Otherwise its pretty disastrous. Morishita has shown glimpses too but can go AWOL.

The defensive situation is an undoubted disaster. We have gone from being solid to being all over the place. Miller looks poor especially at centre back where we have left ourself predictably short. McLoughlin doesnt look particularly good either.

De Neve and Henriksson are clearly so far off it that even with players like Hedges starting every game, they dont come on (or tonight De Neve did purely for injury time) even if it means not using all of our subs. Even Kargbo gets selected before them and he is not only shit but bone idle.

Gudjohnsen was very poor today. His record at his previous club was worrying and maybe he was a panic signing.

We have signed a midfielder on loan with a long term injury, another who is really poor and a third on loan who is functional but could never break into the team of 3 seperate Championship clubs.

But even though Hyam, Dolan, Brittain, Batth and Travis are all gone, we have a "stronger squad."

Are we allowed to start judging the signings now?

As Josh said on Twitter last night it doesn't take 8 games to know someone is tosh.

I said from the start Gueye was shite. I can confidently say the same of De Neve, Kargbo, Tavares and as it stands Baradji is utterly useless.

Jury is out with Henriksson (being generous) and Gudjohnson.

Alebiosu has been a very good signing.

I won't be gaslit, it's horrendous recruitment.

Alebiosu spent the best part of ten years at Arsenal youth, so no coincidence he is standing out amongst the summer signings.

In recent years, recruitment from European leagues has led us to just two decent signings in Kaminski & Tronstad.

On the flip side, there were the likes of Wahlstedt & Telalovic. We now it appears have a squad full of players like this that we are relying on keeping us up!

Last season we had a wealth of championship experience in Trav, Hyam, Dolan, Batth & Weimann. All replaced with European league gambles. I’ve not seen Baradji kick a ball yet, but I can pretty much assume he’ll be poor.

What we saw in Kargbo I’m not sure. Downgrade on Markandy in my opinion.

Recruitment has been absolutely dire.

I expect a few of them will get moved out pretty quickly like the last lot and they'll bring in a few more and try again.

Fans just say oh it's ok only cheap punts some work some don't, fine but who benefits from the revolving door policy ?

Because it isn't the team or club it's the wheeler's and dealers bringing them in and out in quick succession who do.

It feels exactly like that season we nearly went down in terms of accumulating crap within a shallow squad.

That season, we often had the likes of Ennis, Telalovic, Markanday etc on really poor benches and often didnt use all of our subs, or when we did they offered nothing. Now, its De Neve, Henriksson, Tavares, the invisible Baradji not even on the bench. Kargbo coming on and being appalling.

Our starting 11 is poor but a subs bench has never been more important. Swansea really changed the game with their subs, used proactively and with one scoring the winner.

That season, we had a few things in our favour compared to now. We had a buffer of points from under Tomasson, I think we were around 8th going into December. We obviously also had Szmodics scoring loads. And we didnt have the crap manager we have now.

I pray that Gestede faces BBC Lancs in January and gets asked about the ‘gamble of inexperience’ again when we’re rooted in the bottom 3. The smug p****.

If that happens, a prediction.

Blackburn Rovers can confirm that media access for the Radio Lancashire has been withdrawn with immediate effect.

This decision has not been taken lightly. It follows a series of ongoing issues that the club considers inconsistent with the standards of professionalism, integrity and mutual respect expected in our relationship with media partners.

In recent months, Blackburn Rovers made considerable efforts to strengthen ties with the Radio Lancashire and its designated Rovers reporter.

The owners and their stooges have been 'building' for relegation since the summer of 2023 when they decided they weren't going to support Broughton and JDT and then actively undermined them both by drastically slashing an already limited budget in the middle of the summer.

It was only through a combination of good management by JDT and Eustace, and having the remnants of a good Championship side (Hyam, Travis, Brittain, Szmodics, Dolan, Batth) that we've kept ourselves afloat, although, again due to mismanagement they nearly managed relegation from nowhere in 2024.

Now they've dealt with both of those issues - forced out the good managers who could overachieve and replaced with a highly questionable manager and dismantled the remains of that solid squad - so we are back on track.

If it isn't a deliberate plan to relegate us it is at least recklessness and gross negligence.
