I expect a few of them will get moved out pretty quickly like the last lot and they'll bring in a few more and try again.

Fans just say oh it's ok only cheap punts some work some don't, fine but who benefits from the revolving door policy ?

Because it isn't the team or club it's the wheeler's and dealers bringing them in and out in quick succession who do.

Lots of lovely commission

I would be surprised if they do!

I don't think building a stronger squad is on their agenda - IMO, it's all about slashing costs and getting rid of the 'dissenters' in the club whether it be players, football staff or other staff.

Id be surprised if much actual in the flesh scouting where someone with an experienced eye watches a potential target over a number of games takes place these days.

The only one of the summer signings who passes the "eye test" is Alebiosu. He's looked decent since minute one of his first game and seems to be getting better.

The rest not so much so - and that's being somewhat kind in certain cases.

Anyone still think the squad is stronger than last season?

This honestly should be the first question asked to Rudy every time he interviews.

"[this afternoons] clash comes too soon for the likes of Hayden Carter or Jake Garrett, who remain weeks away from returning to match action, whilst Moussa Baradji is a longer-term absentee."

So not expected back in the next few weeks. More a longer term absentee.

Nice one Rudy.

According to Ismael, in 10 days, we'll have a clear time frame on Baradji's return.

Did whichever journo he said that to just start laughing? I would have

There is only BBC Radio Lancs Andy Bayes there. who else would be there? You aren't going to Sky Sports there or national newspapers journalists there

Easiest one possible to do, but at least its one done.

Think he will be decent in league one.

Let's see if they get anyone over the line that isn't a Rovers fan.

Will point out that this is just a 1 year extension (albeit with an option to take it to an extra year), highly likely to be on the same terms as previous, given his injury history and connection to the club was probably easy enough to get done

But it is a rare positive nonetheless

Indeed. Ironic that the last two ‘senior’ renewals they have done (with more than a few months left on their existing deal) has been for two Rovers fans!

Apparently the below is the full quote

Moussa Baradji

The Blackburn Rovers summer signing had surgery on a pre-existing foot problem. Ismael initially ruled him out until after the October break but did caveat that it could take longer.

Now, it appears that Rovers fans will likely have to wait until December for his debut, though more will become clear in the next week.

"He made good progress, we will have a clear picture within 10 days," Ismael said ahead of the match against Stoke City.

"Then we'll know how long it'll be but he's making good progress. Hopefully, in my mind, it's after the November international break that we see him.

"Nothing has gone against that but in 10 days we'll have a better picture.

“The big chance we have with Moussa is settling him properly with an apartment and with everything he needs for him and his family.

“The next step is to pass his rehabilitation and to make him ready to make sure when he is back on the pitch that he’ll be able to stay on there and help us."

Weve gone from not filling deadline day paperwork in on time to signing players in Summer for the January transfer window.  How can anyone say this club is on a downward trajectory and poorly run?

He better be the second coming of Ngolo fucking Kante

If he is levels above not just what we currently have, but also Travis, then it may yet prove to have been a gamble worth taking, despite the delay in his debut (assuming he actually gets fit and signs permanently)

Looking for a silver lining in that these months should have given him time to learn some of the language (he spoke no English during the summer) and get settled in

Pinning our midfield hopes on a currently injured player who until recently was playing in Serie C/D, then playing for the side rock bottom in the Swiss league is a new kind of desperation.
