Massively disappointing, never a must win performance. The players / Management only have themselves to blame, it was there for them to reach out and grab but where was the urgency, they didn’t look like they wanted it enough. I was waiting for the kitchen sink in the last 20 minutes but it just never came.

Unforgivable to draw really. If we don’t lose the match then we clearly haven’t attacked enough at the end

I know what you are saying but Sheff U would have thrashed us if they were able to shoot. I think we gave just about as much as our limited team could. Close. But so far away.

Gutting. We just lacked that little bit of quality to make the difference.

Already one eye on what I anticipate will be another sh*tshow summer. Dread to think who we've seen play for us for the last time today.

I am proud of this club. A month ago, we had nothing to play for. The lads never quit, gave 100%, and gave us an exciting finish.

Thank you, Blackburn Rovers, & Ismail, you never quit!

I would counter that with a month ago we had nothing to play for so they starting wrapping up a few results, after oout rivals completely bottled it we came into the last game against a side with nothing to play for and with pressure on, we did what we always do, produced an enemic performance where people are scrabbling to pick a man of the match and have setted for a goalkeeper and centre back.

Dennis is absolutely shite. Him and Kargbo might as well have been playing for Sheffield United.

Kargbo clearly doesn't have a brain.

Not the game for AK, we weren't finding space in behind and he combined that with awful decision making.

Whoever signed Dennis needs their mandate taking away. Literally no contributions to us getting any points. One assist, I think, in a losing game. Otherwise injured and a red card.

That run of 8 when VI joined did us. He's justified to a point in putting it to the injuries we had, which just goes to show the squad wasn't supported enough or correctly in Jan.

Typical that they bottle. Nothing will ever change while Venkys, Waggot, Pasha & Gested remain.

Waggot and Pasha will be popping that champagne. Job done.

Only positive from last few weeks is that we may finally drop Pears as no1 permanently.

Now lets look forward to summers significant investment 😂

I concur.

Unless this family fucks off, that may have been it for a lot of our lifetimes.

Blackburn Rovers circa 2012 onwards

It was absolute madness to take off all of Cantwell, Dolan, Hedges, Travis and Tronstad. You can't take off our 5 best players in the biggest game of our season, especially when you replace them with a bunch of journeymen who have barely played all season.

Unfortunately after redeeming himself in the last 4 games, Ismael panicked at the end there and made too many changes to try and nick it.

Credit to the lads though, it was still a fantastic season but once again we miss out by the smallest of margins. Sheffield looked superior to us in every way, and it's unlikely we would have been able to beat them another 2 times if we reached the playoffs anyway.

Despite Sheffield U not having anything to play for I'm not upset with the performance today against a club with far better players. The January transfer window however was a disgrace.

Some very odd changes towards the end. Put us under so much pressure and killed what little attacking intent we had. No words for Dennis, a very expensive risk which backfired massively. Another disappointing end to what looked like a very promising season. Lord knows what summer brings us and what final day drama we will be involved in next season.

3 relegated teams will be very strong next season, then add in Birmingham and Wrexham who will be much better than usual L1 teams and then 2 or 3 of Sunderland, Sheffield United and Coventry.

I’d be amazed if we even get a sniff of the top 6 in the next few years with the owners, board and manager that we have.

Reminder Eustace had us 5th and that Gestede, Pasha and Waggott rewarded him with Sanderson, Woodrow and Forshaw. And another reminder that some on here insisted they were his signings.

Another 7th. Guess the loons in Pune are happy now. At the same time Eustace did the business for Derby. They’ll be competing at the top of the table next season while we stay heartbroken.

Despite a strong end to the season I’m not convinced by Valerian. I’ll give him benefit of the doubt, but something was sorely lacking today. We had that something under Eustace, but his departure absolutely stopped all momentum we had despite a period of poor results (because of backroom shenanigans). This is on the administration and the owners. This was a bigger chance than under Mowbray. ALL other results went our way. This is down to poor managment at every level.

Time to take the dog for a walk, soak myself in alcohol and try to forget this insane rollercoaster of season. My head hurts when trying to sum up the season.

Still I 100% appreciate this forum and those battling travelling supporters who make football enjoyable for those of us who can’t attend. You are the true heart and soul of the club, and made of some stuff I can’t comprehend.

Another season goes by all fart no poo, another criminally underbacked January has cost the club once again, I make that 3/5 seasons the club have failed the players and fans in helping with a final push. Fair play to the players and staff that tried to make it happen, it’s not your fault, the owners have failed you.

try enjoy the break everyone, and we’ll see what bullshit they come up with in a couple of months time.

Funny how Dennis, on paper, was probably our most exciting attacker we've signed in a while, yet he's literally offered nothing.

Kargbo still raw so not going to give him much slack, he's a useful player and perhaps not the game for him when he came on.

Really happy for Toth, happy we will start next season with a decent keeper.

Our Back line has battled well all season, our down fall has been uptop - Not enough quality in the final third.
