Plenty will buy it cos its Rovers 150th anniversary shirt. Price won't be factor

Plenty wont buy it because its horrible and a work of fiction and I can assure you the high price WILL also be a factor.

If they are £90 then I'd love to see someone from the club justifying that exorbitant price. That will be the biggest factors in low sales followed by no identification on the shirt to link it to Rovers.

The above is assuming the 'leaked' information is correct.

Our 150th anniversary is going the same way as everything else this club attempts.

Same, done well it could have brought us together a bit.

I should have known. Codename Operation Damp Squid.

Are they still going ahead with that legends game after the match is finished? Everybody will be off home especially if we lose.

Yes. Its our 150th anniversary shirt. Bought all the others this season

Its anniversary season. I paid more for Lakers shirt

Without going down a 'non-football' rabbit hole as that belongs outside of this part of the forum.....but I really hope you don't regularly complain about the standard of living / inflation etc. if you can go out and buy 4 football shirts a year + a basketball top for what I assume would be £350+ combined and then do it all again the next year as they very slightly change.

£90 is extortionate, and you're either delusional, or lying (or both) if you're justifying it.

£90 is a ridiculous price for a shirt. I won't be buying one. There's nothing to celebrate with these in charge. They could of had thousands purchased had they of kept the fanbase happy and run the club properly. I begrudged buying the home shirt this year but that was bought out of tradition.

If the very latest rumours and photos are genuine about this white shirt with a Maltese cross on it, my overall emotion is just one of real sadness. Might be trivial in the grand scheme of things for a grown man to feel sad about what an anniversary football shirt looks like, but I can't help it.

It looks rubbish. It looks cheap. It's ridiculously expensive if that is the correct price. It doesn't look or feel like anything familiar or loveable about Rovers. No one other than an anorak of Rovers history is going to have a clue what shirt it is if you were to wear it in public, most people will just think you're dressed like a crank.

Infuriating to think they had a fan group willing to engage and guide them on this and instead they've gone their own way and churned out this tat.

Please let it be a red herring and there is some blue and white glorious kit waiting to be unveiled.

It's shit, low effort dirge.

Reeks of not caring and if that's the price it's sickening.

The team and manager to a certain extent have done themselves proud this past week, the wider club continues to disappoint me.

Instead of consulting with Fans and Club Historians they looked at that football shirt history site and took it as gospel.

Embarrassing,absolute gobshytes.

Have the books been delivered yet?

Intrigued to see what the content is like on the inside. I haven't ruled out buying one, but the lack of clarity over the content put me off buying on the presale.

I'd even rather they played in this on Saturday, than an all white Bolton/Derby/Leeds/Tottenham shirt with a cross on it

I quite like that. For me it has a retro look to it.

It's a zillion times better than that Maltese Cross monstrosity. That can't be legit surely.

It's listed online in the Roverstore.

Yeah the Polo shirt is nice.

I meant the white Maltese Cross thing being legit. I can't see that officially listed yet. It's like a long-sleeved pyjama top.

And yet it appears to be so.

They DID consult…I was at the meeting…I took a suitcase full of shirts to give styling cues to previous kits. I wrote up the notes (I think they’re higher up this thread…).

The first point the consultation group made was that shirts had to have reversed halves to be genuine Rovers kits…

The only thing they took on board was a change shirt using the green from the town badge…

Waste of time…the whole exercise.

It is awful and seeing those pictures above has convinced me not to buy it. I wouldn't have minded if it was a limited edition and numbered accordingly but it just looks cheap and tacky and has absolutely no appeal to me.

I can't see one redeeming feature about it.
