StHelensRover Posted Friday at 19:41 Posted Friday at 19:41 Just read it's 3 goals and 3 assists in 4 matches this season for Twine. Be interesting to see how Derby react to this. Were we any good at coming back from a goal down under Eustace? I can't remember. The time since he has left has been so traumatic I can't really remember 😄 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted Friday at 19:50 Posted Friday at 19:50 derby ar`nt very good and don`t look like scoring, wieman has been shockingly bad Quote
Andy Posted Friday at 20:25 Posted Friday at 20:25 Derby look atrocious - they've regressed badly since last season. Bristol look pretty handy also, some clever play. Quote
alexanders Posted Friday at 20:26 Posted Friday at 20:26 Weimann and Sanderson been really weak Quote
roversfan99 Posted Friday at 20:40 Posted Friday at 20:40 I think they have had a lot of issues with fitness. Agyemang isnt fit, Morris only signed late, Weimann missed some of pre season due to injury, Bobby Clark isnt up to speed, Beck is injured and Brewster missed all of pre season. They also are obviously going to strengthen with Travis, as well as Johnston (right back) and they are looking at wingers. Quote

Derby signed Carlton Morris on the 26th of June, is that late now? I guess Eustace will want to sign Oxford's winger Dembele then if he wants Wingers Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted Friday at 20:49 Posted Friday at 20:49 Derby score And we are into the bottom 3. We could be there a while. Quote

Players joining late, players who are injured/carrying injuries and players who didnt have a pre season. 1 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted Friday at 20:57 Posted Friday at 20:57 barely deserved equalise for derby though im`e surprised bristol city did`nt go for the kill in the 2nd half, the game would have been over at 0-2 1 Quote

roversfan99 Posted Friday at 22:37 Posted Friday at 22:37 I did. And to be fair, Morris has started well. The other 5 players I named arent fit, there is also their other striker Salvesen. Plus they have signings to come. So I suspect things will look different soon. They have a very good manager who should still be managing us if we had competent owners and a competent board and instead, we have a far inferior replacement. 1 Quote
Hasta Posted yesterday at 08:57 Posted yesterday at 08:57 Morris has started well. Proven Championship striker. 3 goals in 3. Moves us into the relegation zone. Quote
StHelensRover Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Very early days, no one relegated or promoted in August, but a couple of teams have surprised me. I'm very surprised with Preston, I expected them to really struggle. Their start to the season looked a nightmare on paper but they've played possibly their two toughest home games of the season already and won them both. I expected Heckingbottom to struggle and a lot on here incl me thought he would be first sacked. He will have bought a stay of execution now. At the other end Sheff Utd have also surprised me in the opposite way. Selles seemed an odd appointment and it may end up being a disaster. Talksport said that Wrexham's fans booed them off the pitch today for drawing 2-2 with Wednesday. Apparently they've only lost 5 home games since returning to the EFL, and they booed a draw. Wow. yankfan Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Football is so often win and lost by the slimmest of margins. We’ve had two questionable pk calls not go our way and one terrible corner. Those 3 plays are the difference between 7 points and sitting in 3rd and 3 points and in 16th. 1 3 Quote
CambridgeRover Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Talking about bad refs, what was going on at West Brom Quote

Granted it has been a good start for them, but not a chance in hell it lasts. Quote
47er Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Sheffield United are the stand-out surprise for me. Looks like they haven't got over the disappointment of the play-off final. QPR another surprise. But early days yet I suppose. Wrexham not pulling up any trees. Quote

I guess PNE have both Leicester and Ipswich going through plenty of changes they probably played them at the right time. 13 hours ago, StHelensRover said: At the other end Sheff Utd have also surprised me in the opposite way. roversfan99 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I wonder whether Wrexham get rid of Parkinson assuming results continue. Some of their signings are really good and they certainly have a very strong squad at this level. They keep conceding late on and also the choice to start Ward in net will keep costing them. Parkinson has proven before that he often struggles at this level, and although he has a very strong Championship squad likely to be strengthened further, one a good manager could really push on, they arent levels above most of the league like they have been in the past so it requires better management. That being said, its hard to read their owners. Theyve obviously transformed that club but I wonder if their achilles heel will be being too loyal. Quote
