Surely if Travis has both arms wrapped around Price when the ball comes in the penalty should be given then. Either way they are both doing it so the ref lets it all go. It’s not a ref clanger like the penalty at the other end. Edited August 9, 2025 by Hasta 1 Quote

Mercer Posted August 9, 2025 Posted August 9, 2025 Only a goal down so anything can happen if we can keep it that way. Should have had a penalty but that shouldn't disguise how poor we have been. Barely a positive. Overall defensively we look very vulnerable. In midfield - Travis (mind elsewhere?) and Tronstad not at the races, Henriksson looks lost and potentially a loose canon, Hedges totally anonymous and De Neve way, way out of his depth. Yuki not equipped for sole striker role. Will be luck to get a point. Second WBA goal kills it. 1 1 Quote

Alebiosu pinioned from behind so he couldn't clear the throw in for their goal then that stonewall penalty not given. Both your points have merit, but the shitness of our team is the big difference. 5 minutes ago, davulsukur said: Looks like I'm in the minority but didn't really think Alebiosu was all that great tbh. RoversTilliDie Posted August 9, 2025 Posted August 9, 2025 Diabolical refereeing for their goal Alebiosu being dragged all over the place before they scored. 3 Quote
yankfan Posted August 9, 2025 Posted August 9, 2025 2 min in and Kargbo has some more than hedges and de Neve combined Quote
Backroom DE. Posted August 9, 2025 Backroom Posted August 9, 2025 From what I've seen from Kargbo I'm surprised he's behind De Neve in the pecking order, unless it's a fitness issue. Quote

Backroom Silas Posted August 9, 2025 Backroom Posted August 9, 2025 For all our whinging at the ref, it's criminal that they're on 2 bookings and we have zero. I'd be fuming other way round. Altho I hav no doubt the next soft foul we do will result in a yellow. 2 Quote
OllieNO Posted August 9, 2025 Posted August 9, 2025 Looking at our team - our bench is decent (for a bench), problem is the starting 11. We don’t have the required Champ quality do we - just two sets of decent second lineups… 2 Quote

Seems to of have a fitness issue since he’s arrived, I like him, but if he can’t start games we need another LW but the others aren’t the answer. Quote

Say what you like about pears but he is a decent shot stopper. Toth looks like a clone, terrible distribution decent shot stopper when he doesn't have to think. Possibly better on crosses than Pears. 1 Quote

They are fairly interchangeable. Their reputations will rise and fall on how many cock ups lead to goals. On another day, both of those in the first half could have gone in and the saves he’s made today mean shit. It’s an area that should be improvable, but you have to remember how bad Leo was. Backroom DE. Posted August 9, 2025 Backroom Posted August 9, 2025 Pears' issue isn't so much with his fundamentals as his tendency to have at least one absolute clanger per game. When he went through that period where he wasn't doing that he looked decent. Seemed to have just been a purple patch of confidence though. Not saying Pears is particularly good for the record, but it's his concentration which makes him a liability. Quote

LDRover Posted August 9, 2025 Posted August 9, 2025 With the exception of McLaughlin these new lads all look shite. We are woefully short of quality. 3 Quote
