deanives Posted August 9 Posted August 9 With our lack of actual wingers, I would put alebiosu up to right wing, take hedges off and put Miller rb. De Neve off for Kargbo and Gueye on for Ohashi. Woeful stuff as it is at the minute 1 Quote
J*B Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Those that where happy Dolan left are in for a rough season if the solution is Hedges and De Neve. 7 Quote
des Posted August 9 Posted August 9 The first 15 min was quite good then lost it for next 15 to 20 min and gave away a soft goal which we can nit afford to do, the rest of the half was OK and it was a pen the ref got that one wrong so let's hope for better, we do neec more power up front Quote
Andy Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Half of poor quality football. Not convinced by Toth today - I've liked him so far and he's streets ahead of Calamity, but his decision making and distribution have been dodgy so far. Good save though to keep it at 0-1. Sean Mc has looked decent, as has the RB whose name sounds like a Harry Potter spell. Hedges is criminally poor though, isn't he? He's made a couple of good runs off the ball, to give Ryan Abracadabra some space down the right. But, on the ball, he's horrific and very wasteful. O'Hashi is doing the best he can, but needs support. Also should have been a pen at the end of the half. Quote
sharpysharps86 Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Very poor on the whole that first half. Came into it a little bit towards the end, clear penalty not given as well. Positives: Alebiosu looks eager and is trying to get forward as much as possible and has actually bee ok. McLoughlin looks calm and composed on the ball. Negatives: Everything else. Attack is so disjointed and toothless. Axel looks lost, De Neve and Hedges are ineffective out wide. Ohashi is stranded and isolated leading the line. Toth having a wobble. Travis and Tronstad not really getting grip on the midfield. They look weak. Would make 2 changes at half time: Kargbo for De Neve who is already a bit of a bloody mess now, and Gueye for Hedges, put Axel on the right and Ohashi as number 10. Quote
rovers11 Posted August 9 Posted August 9 We look dross so far but completely expected with the lack of investment and quality. De Neve is another Ryan Hedges. Toth looks worse than Pears. At least McLaughlin and Alebiosu have looked decent though. Henriksson not had a kick yet (only at WBA players!). Feels like another season we can pack up and go if we concede the first goal. Powderpuff. Quote
Cherry Blue Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Webb is such a pillock. Pen all day long against De Neve then Ohashi, ok but similar against Travis earlier outside box gave them a free kick. Get rid of Webb. He doesn't know his ass from his elbow. 1 Quote
Tugayisgod Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Kargbo for De Neve, Miller for Hedges and move Alebiosu further forward. Gueye for Axel with Ohashi just behind 2 Quote
BigHoz Posted August 9 Posted August 9 RB has done okay - still a downgrade. New CB I like henrikson looks like he’s got cement boots and has made some silly fouls, looks well off pace. not impressed with de neve as an attacking Left midfielder. ohashi -unlucky hedges to come on at half time. overall very disappointed, tho we did settle towards end of the half. Still nothing going forward and teams will be very comfortable against us defending. kargbo and gueye on. Quote
superniko Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Absolutely shocking from Trav for their goal too. It’s textbook from him though. Too busy wanting to pull an arm or a shirt than actually be goalside of his man 4 Quote
bluebruce Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Seeing a replay of their goal, is Alebiosu not getting dragged all over the place when trying to clear? Looks like it shouldn't have stood to me. 7 Quote
philipl Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Ref the difference. Alebiosu pinioned from behind so he couldn't clear the throw in for their goal then that stonewall penalty not given. 5 Quote
Hasta Posted August 9 Posted August 9 If it’s the other way round and defender knicks it back from Ohashi and then goes down in his own box there, can you imagine the ref waving play on. 1 Quote
davulsukur Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Looks like I'm in the minority but didn't really think Alebiosu was all that great tbh. McLoughlin the only new signing that looks anywhere near and guess what, he's the only one with Championship experience. 3 Quote

Ferrit Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Good to see the standard of refs never improves, that’s not even a difficult decision to make Use your brain, why would he go down unless he’s fouled, he is making that ball. incompetent cunt. 1 Quote
