sharpysharps86 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Fantastic result, and a huge win given Rovers next few games all look tough. Now that Ipswich seem to have turned up this season it was really important to get a win here ahead of playing them next weekend. Promising signs with Mori and Gudjohnsen by the sounds of it. Quote
joey_big_nose Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Have to say we looked really good. Only player id swap in from September 2024 was Travis. Obviously we are riding our luck on Carter and Wharton staying fit. But like the look of the team. I hope Tavares can get up to speed and improve as he was a total passenger. Not good either on or off the ball. But ive seen players (e.g. Tronstad) who look a completely different player after a few months. Toth, Tronstad, Wharton, Carter were all so solid today. Foundation for the rest of the team. Thought all the attacking players did well, Cantwell is consistently better this year. Gudjonsen looks very very promising. Quote

We look so lightweight upfront and Tavares seems to get worse every game. Gudjohnson looked good but I'd be happy if I didn't see Kargbo play another game for Rovers. Brilliant win but disagree about Kargbo. He has blistering pace and is an excellent option with 10/15 mins left in a game. He will serve a purpose this season. Very very happy. 3 Quote

miqaayil Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Good unexpected win.... but god i hope wharton and carter stay fit. Mori seems to be the best signing of the window 1 Quote

First time ever I have taken a punt on your pedictions. Put a wedge on at 9/4. Well done Merce. Don't make any more though lol 2 Quote

I think there's an absolute Rolls Royce of a player in there, I just doubt it'll ever be unlocked. 1 Quote

Tomphil2 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Great win we seem to have a decent away day formula at the min so now there needs to be one for home games. Quote

I like what he does a lot personally (unlike many on here) - like the podcast etc - but surely crack is involved somewhere in that assessment? Anyone got Tavares down as having a good game? Quote
blue and whites Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Like most here I think tavares have been poor the first few matches and it has been hard to see What he is offering. That said, today he got better as the game progressed. He looks too casual at times. But I think he covers quite a lot of ground, has a good pass on him and good ball control. Hopefully will Get better if he stays in the side. 2 Quote
tonyoz Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Wharton was my MoM, he did exactly what we needed and was dominant and aggressive. I like the new lads, the Viking isn’t easily knocked off the ball (unlike Ohashi), Miller is gonna be a fan favourite and Morishita finished well. Tavares was the only disappointment I think. 3 Quote

Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Only plus from Tavares was he actually lasted the full 90. Probably because he was a passenger most of the game. Early days though. Quote

I'll bite in that i didn't think he anything like as bad as the comments on here suggest (today only). Will really struggle against teams that don't give him any space/time and needs Tronstad (or similar) next to him but i would rather him than Buckley (given our other CM signing is expected to be the replacement for Travis) Quote
Paul Mellelieu Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It felt like an early season must not lose game, and we delivered the goods. 3 Quote
Roverthechimp Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Ps. A change in formation that didn't lead to total self-destruction - forgot that it was possible 😁 3 Quote
