I think id consider playing de neve at full back next game. Hes athletic like Alebiouso and it made quite a bit difference.

Also super pleased that we actually managed to get a point back after going behind. We really needed that. And Kargbo looked like he has something.

He was a LB or Wing-back in Belgium, I never quite got why they wanted him to be a winger

Why not put De Neve on the wing?

Great response. Started the second like we should’ve started the first; on the front foot. Then they scored against the run of play.

Can’t continue being switched off from the start though.

It’s genuinely a shit league.
I know they were away from home, but if that Stoke team are top 6 quality then the rest must be absolute dross

They aren't, they just had a good start. Their recent form shows that they'll be back in mid table pretty soon.

My fear is that we have a lot of players who can play well in short bursts, but few players who can consistently perform for an entire match.

Im sorry but its touch and go whether this Rovers side takes the drop or not.

Id take touch and go -I think we look nailed on to go down.

Unless the manager changes.

Into October and are we on course for our first home League point?

Maybe this is what Gestede meant when he said it would be "exciting".

Edit: That's taking the piss out of Gueye bringing him on with 2 mins to go.

We beat Ipswich.

I groaned when Kargbo came on and couldn't believe it when De Neve came on but against a tired Stoke it looked as if they managed to nick a point. Then moments later we could have had all three.

Not a convincing performance overall though.

They have a fantastic manager - they'll be in the playoffs this season.

We don't have enough CBs to play with 3 of them on the pitch at the same time. Only have 4 of them (and 1 of those 4 some of you consider to be a RB).

If we play Pickering or Riberio as LCB it actually increases our options.

I think going 352 could be the way forward

                                 Toth

              Miller.     Wharton.   McCloughlin

Alebiouso.    Tronstad.       TGH.    De Neve

                             Cantwell

                   Ohashi.            ????

The ???? could be Gueye, Gudjonsen or Kargbo. Maybe Kargbo as he has a goal.

Under Val we will struggle, but we are not nailed on to go down...Ipswich result stands and it's a different story.

We definitely needed that point, you can take the positives from the comeback and having a chance to win it, had we got nothing that sinking feeling would have been heightened even more

And couple of championship quality players in January...

Not based on that performance, or quite a few of their recent ones. Robins was excellent at Coventry, time will tell if he can replicate that success at Stoke.

Stoke don't look anything special.  Yet they're third. Just shows a bit of ambition and a good appointment goes far

Yep, it wouldn't take much convincing for me to swap managers with them.

But it won't!

Pickering and Ribeiro are too small to play CB.
