Ismael will want players in early, but he won’t get them.

It still amazes me that grown adults believe what Nixon says tbh.

They must still believe in The Easter Bunny too….

Whatever signings are made, they need to add at least 10 more goals to the side over the rest of the season, either directly or assists.

Failure to do this, and we're in the mire.

That happens everywhere and would be naive to suggest it doesn't.

If Rovers were as ready as they claimed, then they would know if the player wanted to join, and what the fee would be for him.

If they have had a bid rejected, it shows they haven't really done any planning at all.

Of course we are ready. We are putting bids in for players. The research has been done

People slammed for us not getting bids in early in the window. We are yet we still complain.

Hasn’t played in 3 months wouldn’t be much use to us

Not playing for a team that finished as one of the top teams in the MLS (semi final of their convoluted league system) is a considerably higher level than playing in the National League North, and Pratt has done fine.  Duru will of course have been training

That said, I don't think Rovers hold any option re Duru, San Diego had the option to extend his loan regardless of what Rovers wanted, and they also hold an option to make it permanent should they wish

Not playing is not playing - do all the training in the world but it’s not the same as actually playing competitive football - no loss to us at present at all

Do we know the first two sentences for certain?

Or is this just what Nixon says, so you’re believing it?

They bid for me, £500 to my mum. I'm shit at football mind you but I'll fit in with half the bench so no worries!

I'll be impressed (ish) if we actually land players early.

What use is it putting bids in and having them turned down?

I just bid for Cleary, Barnsley rejected my offer too

Its actually getting the deals done that matters

If anyone is interested, my offer was £534,000.26, spread over 76 years, with a 2.5% sell on.  Whilst my bid was rejected out of hand, I am the highest bidder thus far

they put bids in to placate the brainwashed (like chaddy) into thinking we are trying to get players in,in reality the bids are so low that they`ll never be accepted,to make it look respectable they then arrange a loan for some over the hill midfielder with the proclamation, the january window is very difficult,we tried but other clubs are in a far better position financially, cue a p****d off manager and players that can`t wait for the summer so they can get away

Have I been following a different club for 15 years?

We will see come next week how ready we were.

What are we betting? First notable signing (if possible with Rudy) 25th Jan?

I'm excluding that Dingle Gibson

In fairness, when he says things there is a possibility they are true, or partly true. He does get some things right. But there's at least as much chance it's cobblers, so hanging on his every word is ludicrous.

We haven't been ready for the January window in any of the last 5 years, what on earth makes you think it will be any different this time?
