How can you be more advanced in a process over another club, without making an offer?

Good question but he will be gone soon !

Not a sniff of anything today then?

i think thats it,though there could be another inauspicious loan or forshaw type free transfer coming in,i`ll be amazed if there is another buy,as ever with the chicken disrespectors, someone will likely be sold to offset the jorgensen deal

or when your club can't sign any player capable of starting a football game immediately without the fear of an injury, or needing to get "up to speed".

Pathetic.

Ismael has said across his pre and post match interviews around the Ipswich game that the focus is on a striker but that the Jorgensen deal has made that less of an urgent need. Seems very much like a case of seeing what if anything is left after that and deciding at that point whats next in line after that.

So nice and proactive as ever. And a good job we arent lacking in quality in pretty much every area.

What struck me about United’s win was that they were playing in a system not for a system.
The  players had freedom to express themselves within their system not be a slave to it.
We are trying to recruit players with flair and ability, not systems architecture heads.
When  I hear people like Amorim or even Slot talk about the system then I smell trouble.
Vi talks about players for a system. It means he can’t motivate players to express themselves within a simple 4-4-2, 5-5-2
They become more fearful about the system than their own ability to attack, or defend.

I'm with you, I fancy our chances of staying up if we start playing 5-5-2.

In fact, I don't think I do.  Do we have enough players to play that?

Interesting when he signed for Bodo 6 months ago he saw himself “as a winger” but as soon as he signs for us, he’s the striker we’ve been dreaming of.

I hope he does well but generally with incomings since the summer under Gestede and Ismael it feels like we’re getting pissed on and being told it’s raining.

Depends. With Pears in goal I would opt for a safer system. 5-5-5.

Probably wanted to get in the team, their main striker has like 20 goals in each of the last two seasons

3 at the back never works for us, many managers have tried it in the past, it may be effective for the odd game here and there just to change things up a bit when necessary... But we're a traditional 4 at the back club simple as that, we've gone so far backwards tactically since ismael took charge its ridiculous and he's clearly to lost up his own arse to revert back to a simple back four

Easily the Worst manager since Coyle.

He’s worse than Coyle, at least his kamikaze football was mildly entertaining at times. Not only are we crap, we’re turgid to boot

Well there's not many worth anything but Alebiosu comes to mind. German club reportedly after him.

Recall the JW trust decided to sell the club because they felt the finances meant they were reliant on player sales to fund operations. Venkys were selected as they had the pockets to fund player acquisitions without relying on the sale of players…hard to see how we’d be worse off if the JW Trust had not sold. The club under the trust may not have had the funds for investment but player sales were reinvested and the back office was a functioning group of competent personnel. We now sell players without reinvestment, and have a toxic culture run by corrupt buffoons. For those who believe the Venky have saved our club should consider how efficient we were prior to their “stewardship”

What stuck me about the Man United win was just how pedestrian the two City full backs were.

City were wide open at the back because those two CMs masquerading as FBs got absolutely rinsed time and again.

Likes to use his physical package - that’s us fucked then.

Should of told them before they sign, you aren't allowed to touch anyone, look at anyone or breathe on any9ne in the Championship.

"Oh why is that?"

They'll go down like they've been shot, you'll get a Red card and they'll get a penalty.

Seen something mentioned about Dominic Ballard at Leyton Orient.  Could be worth looking into?

What was the something?
