We need a focus point/target man type of striker and we didnt get one. Dykes or Hardie would have been the ones to sign for us.

Interesting comments from McKenna on szmodics. Was baffled as to why they let him go on loan - makes sense now

A competent club would have had a loan for Pratt already done and dusted - he's shown this season that at absolute worst he's got to be a league 1 level defender and hasn't really put a foot wrong so far in the championship.

I guess the hope is that we are taking the time to try and engineer the best possible deal, but I'm amazed that a league one or two outfit couldn't have been found before the deadline - surely we knew that we weren't registering him? 

That said, you'd hope at this point that a good national league team - possibly recently ex EFL with decent facilities etc. would not only want him in the squad but would want him to be playing week in week out - we've had too many players out on loan struggling for minutes.

To be fair he was on loan playing at Chorley with instant recall clause which they activated. A competent manager would have had him back in recently when he was available but we didn't have one.

Seeing as he's out now so couldn't be loaned it might turn out a blessing in disguise later in the season when he's fit again.

Nope, genuinely managed to miss that - I knew he was injured but somehow had it in my head that it was minor. I blame all the manager shenanigans, I've not been keeping as on top of news as I normally would.

The lad is scoring a lot of goals in a struggling team and has the physical presence and must always have had plenty of ability otherwise teams wouldn’t have paid millions for him in the past. What an utter and complete mess of gestede’s transfer windows, weaker all over the pitch, squad is unbalanced with poor defenders, non creative midfielders and lightweight forwards. Shambles and compete incompetence. Most frustrating thing is we could all see it from a mile off. The hyam sale pretty much signed our relegation imo

Nixon story, I can only imagine it's about Adam Phillips, us and north end been touted for him over the years - final year of contract with an option.

He's from Garstang so a local lad, can imagine he'll be interested in moving closer to home. 

He'll do a job for us in league 1.

It's not.

It's Dan Phillips from Stevenage said we made an enquiry in the window but they wanted 1 million and we plan to go back in the summer .The club supposedly see him as a Tronstad replacement. 

The downgrade continues.

Hopefully by summer at the very least Gestede will be out and we will change our transfer policy, not holding my breath
