Can't for the life of me understand anyone disliking Eustace.

a) He was a bloody good manager for us

and

b) He attempted to go in to bat for the players and the good of the Club in general against the 3 stooges.

I don't lose any sleep over him, but certainly wanted to send him back to Derby with a big loss in the bag. Thankful for the work he did for us, but watching his style of football hurt my eyes at times. Outclassed by Plymouth at home stands out as one bad memory. Some hurtful moments under Ismael too, that's for sure.

I agree with everything you say but how can you look at where we are, look at where derby are and be glad "Eustace has gone. "

Id rather we still had a manager who was internally fighting to improve us and take us forward than what we have.

Yep.

Yet by way of comparison  Mowbray who was happy to sit there and "play the game" and just sit there feathering his own nest without any pretensions of trying to succeed is generally revered.

Ismael is obviously another one who's happy to play the game and at this stage he isn't popular either.

Probably well before your time but you definitely wouldn't have liked Howard Kendall who was goal difference away from leading us from the equivalent of League 1 to the Premier League in successive seasons then.

You wouldnt have liked it under Allardyce by the same token either?

Edit: I loved it under Howard Kendall because after a very poor start it was winning football, didnt particularly like it under Sam as it was "just doing enough to survive" football.

The top 6 team has been totally depleted. Eustace kept us up with that miracle (and undeserved) win at Leeds and against Leicester on the final day who were already champions and had nothing to play for. I'm not singing Ismael's praises, but I am entitled to my own opinion about Eustace and that he's a very ordinary manager.

It's been depleted on his watch and so presumably with his blessing. The last two managers walked out when this was done to them, this donkey has clapped along and acted like everything is fine, even spat his dummy out when asked about it by the press. He's happy to allow them to implement their bargain basement strategy to the football club, so he's a loser.

Jackson now reporting the Wharton injury long term. Add him to Cater and you have to think it was a good thing we sold Dom on deadline day with no replacement lines up.

We have played some decent football this season to be fair, but a bit like under Eustace and others before him, there are matches we don't show up for. We were missing some huge bodies in the team today but thought Ismael got it all wrong and didn't adjust at all. Surprised he pulled Gardner-Hickmann at half-time, who was really poor but was still miles better than Henriksson and Morishita. Our other bench players don't look ready, Gueye looks unfit and should play some U21's probably.

We could all see that it was total self sabotage by the club. With 4 at the back we were light with CBs, but switching to the 3 CB's system makes it completely unmanageable in a hectic Championship season. Absolutely no thought or long term planning by the club.

We're gonna get a battering at Deepdale aren't we !

Total mis-management to play Wharton as much as we have since he's come back. But squad is so thin it's scary.

One thing that did look surprisingly okay was Hedges at LCB. If we did that again I could live with it.

He was pretty decent defending on the deck and in the air, and as youd expect offered a bit driving forward with the ball. BBD was on his side and did nothing.

That said might be that Derby just didnt really attack much in open play all game, relied on set pieces, so not really tested.

Bloomin' awful and totally predicable. Terrible letdown on a historic day for the club

And against Derby and the snake Eustace  the man who was let down by the club and felt going to a side battling relegation was better than staying here (fixed if for you 👍🏻) of all clubs and people

You cannot play like that first 45 minutes and expect to get anything from a game. Basic defending.

Does anyone remember if Andri touched the ball today?

He had a free header on the penalty spot which he did very poorly with.

The way Derby were playing he had no space to work with and they  completely physically dominated him.

I dont think we have anyone in our squad who can physically compete with powerful centre back. Its the sort of striker we need to find in January.

Gueye should be that player but I have to agree he just gets worse and worse and worse.

Must just be me, I thought Hedges was abysmal at Bristol and whilst he didnt make any major errors today he looked exactly what he was - someone playing completely out of position.

Why can't we play the young lad Atcheson, an ACTUAL centre back in that position?

That Baradji lad had better be good after all this…🫣

Reminds me of when Tony had us waiting half a season for Pickering.

Apart from that it was okay though?

Was that the odds just for Morris to score, or combined? Because bookies were offering that just on a Derby win before the match for some reason.

Combined, Derby win 11/4, don't know what betting site, home now.
