Thank you so much Rovers for making WREXHAM look like a decent football team.

No-one gets any positives from that shit show today. No-one. Absolutely pathetic.

Not fit to wear the shirt. Dreadful.

I've seen a lot better than them at Ewood, we made it far to easy for them.

For me that game epitomises the venkys era at this club.

A Slow, ponderous, small, weak, thick team with a rubbish manager that had no clue what they were meant to be doing out there. All while wearing a North End kit.

We will stay up because Charlton & Oxford are just as bad as us, but christ its going to be a hard watch.

Val's just said on his post mortem presser (not predictive text) that we were too tired and couldn't run any more, we've got two more injuries but there may be "a chance" of a new body in by the game on Sunday.

He's given up, I thought he might have another list.

That’s him basically conceding Sunday then.

That summed up the whole rotten edifice that is Venky's Rovers.

Asset stripped, dismantled. And to what end?

I dont know what's more depressing, the poor standard of the playing squad or the fact that they are pretty much playing as well as they can. Doubly depressing against a very ordinary Wrexham who were in 2nd gear. Sobering to think how recently we hammered them in the cup.

A number 9 who isn't even up to bring put on the bench having his striker's position taken by a second rate Scandinavian midfielder worse thsn Antonsson. A dismal vista.

The only glimmer is the emergence of the 3 young defenders who look well coached and comfortable. A credit to the academy operation. It's all that's left. But you wonder what the point is when the odd gem will bring in revenue merely to keep the life support machine running.

The situation is hopeless.

And another thing. I've tried to buy 2 items from the bars on the ground tgis season. At the Derby game they ran out of beer and today pies by half time. I will not be queueing again for anything at the club.

An utterly pathetic institution who as we know take us for less than mugs.

I despise them.

Agreed with above entirely

the academy lads are great and sadly for us are getting game time so they can be sold

It's another setback in terms of the result. I can't complain about the boys, they tried to go again, it was just a lack of energy today.

"We lost the game in the first half. We conceded the first goal, we can avoid it. The second goal is a great shot.

"We tried to find some energy for the second half and it was much better. We lost two players again today, and it's clear we've touched the limit with the squad”

Bland platitudes. I wouldn't run through a paper mache door for that dour bore.

With what appeared to be (at least) 1 soft tissue injury today for Litherland you really do have to question our strength and conditioning team within the medical department.

The number of players sidelined by pulls and strains suggests these players aren't physically prepared for the rigours of a league season and that's firmly on the S & C team.

To defend them to some degree, Litherland, isnt. He’s not kicked a ball in men’s football and has been required to play at wing back, one of the most physically demanding positions 4 times in 10 days. The physical load being put on a squad that is thin at the best of times was always going to reach a tipping point. For some players with underlying issues that elastic snapping ones earlier than others

The returning player is Kristi Montgomery though.

I'm all for questioning our medical department; however, what needs serious questioning (for instance, from the BBC) is Ismael and Gestede, who decided to get rid of proven championship players and replace them with players not used to the intensity of the league.

When you start picking up injuries, you will have to rely on academy players, who are also not used to the intensity. And then there is no stopping the slippery slope that was self-inflicted.

Ismael receives far, far too little stick for being aligned to this project. I have no other word to describe this than disgraceful.

Agreed.

Surely it's time for Radio Lancs to go back to his comment on the squad being stronger than last year.

What I am so so so very bored of is seeing us pass backwards so often. In th middle of an attacking press and we instantly slow the tempo and look backwards instead of pushing into attacking positions. When we take a rare opportunity to push wide or run at defences Are when we create our best chances. I dont think any other team in the league is as negative as us and it has been the same for years. I honestly cannot see anything positive happening in our future. The team is on a downward spiral. The fan base is abandoning the club and will never recover from a purely demographical standpoint especially with other local teams performing so well. We will 100% be a League 1 team in the next season, and then will live in mid-table infamy for decades. Its happened to other teams, Huddersfield, Blackpool, Cardiff, Wigan, Bolton and we just need to accept it now.

Fortunately Father Christmas didn't bring me a Rovers calendar this year...20260101_164541.jpg.b23c1c4797e5e213316e191600fcfce6.jpg

a woman’s team that is no longer and a player being forced out the door due to attitude - can see him being a handful, but also can imagine excuses being made ready for val and Rudy for getting rid of a striker rather than playing a square peg

We should have had deals agreed for today with how threadbare this squad is, classic venkys rovers will wait till the last week to buy unfit and poor footballers.

Charlton fans saying he’s been brilliant since he’s been playing recently, sold him and Buckley to buy Sidnei Tavares 🤦‍♂️ quite simply laughable

He wasn’t a player to push us to the levels of the top,6. He’d be a great option at RWB today. But we need to cut wages.

You're an optimist. Charlton drew with Coventry today and I fully expect them to take all the points on Sunday against this ragbag of rubbish.

Thing is, and I've been guilty of it myself over the years, hastily predicting we will lose the next game after a rotten defeat.

Said the same against Preston after the limp display against Derby, and the same against Milwall after that dreadful defeat at Portsmouth.

I bet we don't lose against Charlton, not 100% we will win but I dont think we'll lose.

The injuries we keep picking up are 100% linked to fatiguing in the players, they’re being pushed too much especially in a busy festive period. When your muscles aren’t recovering properly you’re prone to injury a lot more. Whilst you can sympathise with VI to an extent due to him having a bunch of duds to pick from, he is clueless at managing game time and his substitutions are often questionable, particularly the timing of them.
