Over half way through January and De Neve is still starting games, someone has got things very wrong here

His wage & appearance fee coupled with the lack of any bonuses is a lot cheaper than Pickering's appearance fee.

That bench is horrifying. Not a single goal in them.

Well the new lad is on there... Hope he has a goal in him.

Wing backs look really really poor, and in the system we have they are the most important players. De neve has the engine but no defensive awareness, and TGH I am not really sure has the lungs for it.

Feels like we could get absolutely battered. But then again felt that way a few times and we've done okay so hoping to be surprised again.

Even if thats the case overall i am not really sure Riberio or Pickering are better choices in the lwb role as they cant do it either.

There is a time for a manager to hold their hands up and say "we don't have the players for this formation" and to make a change. Some managers are too stubborn or incompetent to do so.

Lots of talk about the red card in the abandonded Ipswich game and then the potential one in the rearranged one.

We are starting with 9 today and yet the Jorgensen deal has apparently removed any urgency in the market.

Just seen the bench, bloody hell - two green centre halves, two left backs and a very green left wing back. I’d still have Pickering in for DeNeve. Forshaw just back after his latest injury, he can’t have more than 15 minutes in him. What’s going to happen on the 65 -70 minutes mark when we need to sub players I shudder to think.

Surely it’s going to be a case of the field tilting with most of the attacking going through LWB and TGH tucks/stays at home. There is no way anyone with sense would have both of them playing high or expecting TGH to get up and down or De Neve to be able to defend

What I don't understand is that as Miller was the mystery player who was struggling with injury for a few weeks.. why did he not only start last weekend in the cup?  But also play the entire game including extra time?

This manager is demented.

TGH at RWB?

I thought signing on for us sort of proved that from the get go

If anyone is still in any doubt, what the intention is of our wonderful owners, look at the team today.

It’s not bad luck with injuries, its gross incompetence and nothing changes until they’re gone.

VENKYS OUT - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS

The last time he played there he was skinned alive and now he is going to be up against two of the best wingers in the league. This could be embarrassing.

I’ve sent you a direct message @USABlue - Your shirt has come back!

It would take some kind of miracle for us to win this looking at the two matchday squads. It’s a shame as we deserve some revenge for the misfortune we’ve had against them this season. I just can’t see this team having a chance. I think with Alebiosu, Andri and Mori added to the squad soon along with the new players (hopefully more to come too) then there is some hope, but today looks like a big ask.

I am not even going go waste my attention watching this. This is going to be up there with Scott Parker letting Bournemouth get smashed by Liverpool just to show he needs transfers in.

Given the current fit players who would you play at either right wing back in the 3 at the back or at right back in a back 4 ?

Atcheson.

Inexplicable to keep the same shape with the players available. De Neve shouldn't be in the squad nevermind starting and Gardner-Hickman shows limitations in his natural position nevermind wing back. Thats before we consider Axel playing up front again where he has struggled for weeks. Go and get Rowett to try and save us.
