it may be boring and pragmatic, but nothing maverick and Gudjohnsen, Baradji and Pickering/Ribeiro can come on and impact appropriately

The speed of the process shouldnt be altered depending on tonights result

It should though depending on the calibre of whoever is available permanently. (Assuming Johnson can steady the ship)

I dont know if they were rushed into selecting Ismael by the result in Lowe's 3rd game - I tend to believe they happened across someone who was "aligned" - but if they were panicked into it, look how badly that turned out.

They should be doing it as fast as they can. That doesnt mean panicking and getting someone crap.

They shouldnt speed up/slow down based on each passing result. Getting a new competent manager should be the pressing priority.

I dont trust them but that is what they should be doing.

Cashin has been our best player in the last 2 games. And why is Tyjon suddenly starting, and Atcheson back in your team?

Mclaughlin's shite, been impressed with Atcheson

3-5-2 hasnt been working.

We've lost two and drawn one with Cashin in the side, not our player, fuck him.

Re Tyjon  - need to try something different. Not sure if you've noticed but we haven't been scoring any goals.

In general need to shake it up and do something different. Absolutely no point carrying on doing the same things Ismael was.

However it's only my opinion Im sure we'll actually see a more conservative line up like Tricky's.

Doesn't really matter as long as we get the 3 points.

I just hope that Johnson will be allowed to pick his own squad, starting 11, formation and generally make all the decisions throughout the game.

But, knowing RG and SP, I doubt it.

Odd logic that tonight isn't on sky but the rearranged ipswich game was?

Regardless, I don't see big changes in line up tonight - all the prep was done by Ismael so it would be a big cal for DJ to change that all in 24hrs. I expect all the big name players to start but potentially need to come off after 60 so we could do with being 2 ahead by then. The really interesting position is on the left, if Pickering plays that possibly tells a story

I don't reckon he was very "aligned" with Gestede and Pasha on Monday when he kicked off about the failure to bring in the striker that he'd been promised (and which he knew was needed to potentially escape the drop).

The clash between the two Frenchmen must have been one of massive Gallic proportion for Gestede to produce the red card to Ismail..

I was always of the view that behind the affable exterior of Ismail and his carefully worded video interviews there was a potential seething Gallic temperament; a brooding behind those dark eyes that he had largely kept under control in public.

Johnson to retain his 100% win record please.

Team selection is actually challenging now we don't have 14 absentees. Do we go for speedy Dapo, start with Gudjonson and Jorgensen, persist with double Japanese, pick Cashin over two proper left backs, drop McLoughlin to bring back Atcheson or Pratt, Forshaw or Moussa, drop Cantwell, pick Miller for his long throws???

Team talk - move the ball quickly, don't be afraid of a first time pass and shoot on sight.

Rovers TV said Cantwell is on 8 yellows.

Did he, did he really?

He wasnt that upset with them that he refused to take training Monday morning (allegedly)

We havent played 352 in the last 2 games.

We also dont have the privelidge of not playing loanees as they arent ours. Tyjon is leaving at the same time.

Tyjon is nowhere near good enough for men’s football at the moment. Especially in a game as important as this. Plus he doesn’t want to sign for us so why play him ?

How do we know when he hasnt even been given a chance?

Am I mistaken in thinking you said something similar about Pratt before he played?

Quite simply, if he is free to choose the team, i would go:

                       Toth

       Miller    McClouglin   Cashin

Alebiosu         Tron          Pickering/Ribero

          Cantwell      Mori/Baradj

           Gudjohnsen     Ohashi

I know pickering is not the quickest but he doesn't have to be - just keep it moving and put the ball in when he can whilst covering Cashin when Miller is inevitably drawn out of position.

Don't know anything about the new guys but the above would be easy to switch to 4-4-2 by taking off Pickering, Cashin or Miller. Even switch to 4-3-3 is pretty simple.

Pratt’s built like a man, Tyjon is still a boy physically.
