Next Rovers manager

Doesn't matter who the new manager is, but I’d rather have a predicable journeyman, than someone who ruins his reputation working for these rats. 

Venkys and the rest of the parasites won’t be here for ever, the clock is ticking.

Well that's was my take on it last night and Im still none the wiser why it's as much of a foregone conclusion as everyone thinks.

We "might" well be thinking of "offering"  him the job, by definition however we might not!

Also would it not help to have some sort of indication whether he actually wants it?

All that said, Id be very pleased if he gets it. Would be a surprisingly solid choice for this lot.

Yeah could read into it both ways. Felt to me like the presenter was very carefully choosing his questions. Few little jokes that alluded towards there being something in it. Could just be talks.

Have stopped trusting my judgement whatsoever though not my principles. This past 8 days in particular has at times felt like being in the Twilight Zone never mind cursed. 

That being said I don't believe there is the slightest hint of corruption in Rowett. Straightforward and honest qualities that are singularly lacking at Ewood so doubt he will last long. If indeed it is him from what I'm hearing it's probably still going to be 50/50 (based on his tenure at Birmingham) and less with a much worse manager.

I’ve listened to him this morning and he talks a lot of common sense. I think he would be a decent appointment but I would be very surprised if he took the job ! If he does it is just for the cash because no one, except someone perhaps with real deep ties to the club, takes this job with current regime, they would be almost insane to do so. That is what they have done to us 😞

I think Rowatt is probably the best of what is on offer in the position we are In and if he goes to Leicester I think we will all look a bit envious of them

Think there's less pressure on him if he comes to us rather than Leicester. What is there to loose? He'll be back in employment and if he does well another team comes in and takes him.

Really torn here. Rowett is probably the best of a bad bunch but I think he’s a very defensive minded manager. We already struggle to get shots away so is it just going to much of the same, try and defend and maybe get a lucky shot/goal, there’s no way we are built for counter attacking. Worried to say the least

We dont have the players to suit a JDT type either though do we?

It's a tough one. We don't have the players with the ability to play the way a JDT would want to and they dont seem to have the fire in their bellies to grind their way to safety either.

I think it points to a temporary appointment until the summer and then completely reassess depending on where we are.

cheap imported foreign players and the failure to keep our good ones have ***** us this season,on a brighter note,the lads coming through the academy look useful,atcheson in particular looks the real deal,i imagine they will be regulars next season in league one,not a bad platform to start a rebuild,though it would`nt be venkys if they did`nt sell them all in the summer🙃

Getting to the point where I think we only attract a competent manager now with either a big financial package or bonus for keeping us up. I'm not sure the Venky chumps will be offering either.

Johnson doesn't want to be first team manager, and it shows. Poor selections, tactics, and motivation of the players in both the 2 games he's been in charge. If they decide to keep him as caretaker to the end of the season we'll go down

A new man needs to be appointed this week, and if that means the journeyman Rowett then get him in. The players need some bollockings and the team some fresh thinking. As is stands we're doomed.
