  1. Past hour
  2. They'll be spending A LOT on wages for those free agents. And that, unfortunately, is the problem. We clearly don't have a pot to piss in - despite having billionaire owners.
  3. I sincerely hope the manager, does not experience the frustrations that JDT and Eustace did, with players apparently signed,, but then a mystery wayward E Mail or late E Mail, scuppers it. It is only a difficult market, when you are searching in the bargain bucket, or do not have enough money to attract the right quality. All other teams, seem to be doing okay.
  4. Brilliant - watching four games at once, that is a deal clincher. 😂
  5. If nobody else was signing players, the description of the market would stack up. But when Saturdays opponents who are under a transfer embargo can bring in (on paper) better signings than us then you have to question things.
  6. This is there answer to that... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/aug/12/sky-sports-launches-multiview-in-revamp-of-premier-league-coverage Not something I would ever watch, but still.
  7. Early cotton mill fodder working every hour god sent from the age of about 10. Then cannon fodder “ Lions led by donkeys “ in WW1 etc etc Standing by whilst our industrial base vanished in the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s. I remember reading that in the late 19th century there was a pub or ale shop for every 12 people over drinking age in Blackburn. That speaks for itself.
  8. I've never known an organisation to be so keen to convince everyone of how hard they are "pushing" for things (acquisitions, contracts, etc, etc) to happen, whilst not actually delivering any of those things, then repeating the same thing, over and over. All whilst senior members of the organisation speak to the press about being "confused", or their standard working environment being "difficult" or "strange". Meanwhile their competitors just get on with actually making things happen. Bloody amateurs, the lot of them.
  9. Been like that all summer. Pathetic.
  10. The only difficult and strange place to operate in is Blackburn Rovers.
  11. U21s are away at Everton this eve, 7pm kick off Preview score/update
  12. "Rovers are pushing to make a breakthrough in their search for attacking reinforcements" Translation: We've made inquiries but aren't getting anywhere because we won't pay the money
  13. Just got back from my annual charity fishing competition in deepest, darkest Devon where there is very little internet available but I was surprised to see that we were winning 1-0 at 66 minutes. Saw the results on TV and knew that was a typical 2025/26 season Rovers performance. I haven't seen (and wont be seeing) the game but if VI doesn't get his shit together and sign some decent players asap we'll be down there in the bottom 3 by the end of September, if not before. Shameful.
  14. The creativity argument is a bit of a red herring, I mentioned it last week but Brittain created 40 chances last year which only converted to 2 direct and 2 indirect assists. Which to me tells me an awful lot about out ability to finish chances
  15. Billy Wilson left Rovers in 1972!
  16. With the greatest respect, who is buying our remaining players at fee's that would allow us to make upgrades. Some will work out some won't is tired trope, we've not signed anyone this year who looks an obvious upgrade on what was there before them. That player trading model has one outcome I'm afraid.
  17. Spot on. You need players who make things happen themselves. Sadly, we have no players capable of that.
  18. But also one result within that changes the extrapolation. If we had held our lead against Birmingham as we should have been able to, it's about 55 points. Football is a game of too small margins and that's too small a sample. Need to pop some points on the board soon though.
  19. No I don’t underestimate them. I’ve seen them for fifteen years. There is no stomach for it with the majority of the match going fanbase. Doesn’t mean the likes of Glen won’t get traction elsewhere, but you need to face facts when it comes to the Ewood attendees. If we are ticking over results wise you’ll see bugger all dissent apart from a few ‘Venky’s don’t care about me’ chants and an odd banner. Even if we aren’t ticking over, a managerial change, a run of results out of the blue will quickly stub out dissent. Wish it was different, but it just isn’t and I’m dealing with reality not what we’d like to see. (*Though feel free to quote me with glee in November or whatever when you see weekly Sheff Wed style uprisings,I’d be delighted to eat humble pie, but I sincerely doubt it).
  20. I always want whatever is best for the club.
  21. If VI had instilled the importance of every game into the players, we might not have been two nil down to Bradford within five minutes.
  22. Extrapolated, it's 46 points over a seaon - would see us relegated.
  23. Really poor manager. Gestede has had another absolute mare.
  24. We will be in the bottom 3 after 10 games , the rest will pan out with the passage of time !
  25. One that we have won before these Indians rocked up !
