  1. Past hour
  2. Catastrophic Cashin debut. Long felt McLoughlin's level as a Hull reject was a correct assessment of his capabilities. The biggest problem is VI is simply not coaching us on how to play when in possession. There is no guile, no movement, no nothing. These players are much weaker than the team which the loons dismantled but they are better than what they are showing. Of course we are ravaged by absences but this is getting dangerously bad.
  3. I love Sammie back and would be pretty confident he could score us the goals to stay up, but this manager would probably play him at left wing back or something stupid like that.
  4. Why was this fool not sacked last night? 1 win in 12.
  5. Today
  6. This is about the time we'll get a result to give a bit of daylight again. Which will then be followed by a fee defeats.
  7. Just watched the highlights. Cashins own goal was appalling, as bad as you'll see at any level. He was very very lucky to not concede a penalty towards the end of the game too. Looked an absolutely nailed on pen that would have had VI scribbling in his notebook if it had gone against us.
  8. Does the cynic in anyone else think this is Glasner angling for an early payout?
  9. Great original post and one I can resonate with. I grew up in a wee place just outside of Glasgow where I just so happened to live next door to the sister of a certain jack walker. When her husband heard I was into football he would give me signed strips and balls, then tickets, then taking me to jacks office, and I loved it being a young boy, especially with the squad featuring a lot of Scot’s at the time and dalgleish being the manager, I loved being the kid at school that didn’t support rangers or Celtic and would proudly say I was a Blackburn fan. Everyone knew me as the Blackburn fan and would then take an interest in their results/signins knowing I would be invested in all things rovers. I would make the trip down to ewood 3/4 times a season and it was always so exciting to go, I would look forward to it for weeks. sadly jack passed and I moved away from my neighbours , learning of their passing in later years but my link to the club was now deep in my blood , I was obsessed with the club, my weekends hinged on our result. Fast forward to now, I have moved even further away from ewood to the north of Scotland due to work. I haven’t been to ewood this season, my visits became less and less frequent to the point I can’t justify it. I now have 2 boys and I can’t bring myself to pass on my club to them. I used to defend the club to the hilt, I now can’t, I am embarrassed to say it’s who I support. I watch less and less football every season and I blame Blackburn for me losing love of the game. Everything is so flat and bleak with the club it’s just tiring. I’m tired. I’m frustrated. I’m apethetic and lost with the club. My only slight consolation is this forum and having those with similar feelings. I hope that one day we can have a revival but I think there is further falling and despair before that can happen. I will always support the club but from afar these days. When the green shoots arrive, I will return
  10. How did you view Szmodics today up against his former team. He's a player that appears on his way out here, McKenna gave him 10 minutes towards the end and even scored but is often left out and rarely features now. Your team just didn't test us nowhere near enough today, we didn't even play nowhere near our best but still ran out comfortable winners. Rovers just didn't present enough of a challenge. I hope you can survive and remain at Championship level. League One is tough to get out of once you drop down and you need to do what you can to ensure such a scenario doesn't occur. Can imagine you must be pleased to get these fixtures over with against us this season what with the abandoned game cut short with 10 minutes remaining when you had a lead, the rearranged game where we stole a point right at the end when should have been rightfully beaten and now today. I don't pick the results and outcome of games or dictate what players or indeed referees should do and we've rode our luck at times in the matches involved but today was different where no-one can really dispute a winner. If you want Szmodics back despite scoring the third I'd allow him to return as he just seems surplus to the time ahead at Portman Road. It's a pity for the player and clubs involved as had he stayed up there Rovers could maybe have continued with his services or indeed proficiency that he just hasn't replicated here with us.
  11. Hiring the work experience tea boy to run the entire football side of the club seems like a misstep - but I'm not a billionaire, so maybe I'm wrong.
  12. So I was working all day today and I've just watched the highlights. What in the Shane Duffy was that own goal?! I knew Cashin had scored one, but that was far worse than I expected. Nobody anywhere near him, keeper has the ball covered, lashes at it for no reason giving the keeper no chance, and then, possibly worst of all, casually grabs the ball and heads back towards the centre circle like it wasn't shit. Appalling. I'd say Sammie Szmodics looked more embarassed to score!
  13. Did we ascertain whether Pears is injured, pissed off, or about to be sold.
  14. Well we won't score but if we learn to defend for the first 15 mins we might grind out a 0-0
  15. Wouldn’t give the guy the time of day. Genuinely think his end game could be a job at Rovers 😂 4 businesses all gone under. He was the creator of FC Rovers. Topping it all off, he’s a recruitment consultant. Or as the rest of the professional world knows them - a reptile 🐍
  16. Terribly weak defending YET AGAIN by Hyam's replacement Sean Mcloughlin on the second. How many easy goal contributions against us is that now... ? I'm almost seeing one a game. This guy will be starting at the back for us for years to come. That's how Venky's operate. We should have been spending good cash on a Hyam replacement as you'd expect either before he left or Jan 1. This sale was easily the most detrimental but that was extremely obvious at the time, to anyone interested in Rovers getting results this season.
  17. Yesterday
  18. Wouldn't bother over there pal. Looks like a school IT project that forum
  19. Are the owners still under court ordered restrictions? Genuine question as it seems to have gone quiet on that front… We should have good space in FFP especially with the clear out and potting Ismael would be the sensible financial decision should we get a suitable replacement and spend the money to get a proper manager. It’ll cost less in the long run than going to L1. Gestede should be nowhere near a football club, the squad he has assembled will take more than a season to clear out and replace and is a long term issue. We are stuck with the pound land gambles and garbage for now and needs serious investment to turn around. He has done incredible damage with Owen in one summer with the squad revamp and new project. it’s easy to revamp a squad if you’re spending money and can offload players who take up space - but people need to want to take those players off your hands? Hyam, Travis, etc all had their admirers - it’ll take more than a summer to shift some of these current players Sadly feeling completely flat about it all, there’s not even hope in the tank left that things will improve or can change. Pasha needs to go, Gestede needs to go, VI needs to go first thing in the morning and Venkys need to sell. Instead we get gaslit. Gaslit by a manager who always has an excuse ready - “it was the ref”, “injuries”, “results this month not important til players come back from injury” (how does that motivate the current fit players!) Gaslit from owners with dodgy figures including never to be met add ons as proof “significant investment”, “an ambitious £3.5m signing” - WHERE IS THE £? Wharton.. Szmodics.. Hyam.. Travis.. even money was made with fucking Gueye somehow?! Lindsay T who calls fans drug addicts and deflects And worst of all - Pasha just ghosts the fans. Fans Forum meetings are a joke along with our pitch, our Blues Bar with no Sky Sports (at a professional sports club) it’s a horrid joke
  20. He’s performing slightly worse than Owen Coyle. History about to repeat itself.
  21. Remember it was predominantly garbage last season before the self-inflicted exodus of players and arrival of Rudy's mates. What was Ismael's excuse then, when the players were good enough?
  22. you can be a poor side but hard to beat,we ar`nt hard to beat and don`t score goals, which is very worrying,i just hope gudjonson comes back firing and the new lad jorgensen develops an understanding with him ,yuki needs a rest,he`s been running on empty for a few weeks now
  23. We lost a lot of players in the summer but not enough to be seeing performances like this for almost the entire season. Other teams have their injuries too and can handle them. The core of the team is not performing under this manager and he's enabling terrible player recruitment. He's part of the problem and needs to go.
  24. I’m about to lose faith in VI after that performance. Incredible that Henriksson was handed another start upfront.
