  2. Quite simply Rovers under 21's were poor yesterday and I would struggle to name any player who stood out and should be training with the first team on that showing. We hit the post in the first half and missed an easy second half chance but those aside we were second best all over the pitch. Clearly those comments are tempered by the fact it was a friendly and the coaches will be relatively pleased that it was a good work out. Perhaps to emphasise that they brought on O'Grady-Macken at half time and played him at centre half when Max Davies was still on the bench. Davies did come on later and HOM went into his usual midfield position. Also we played three at the back in the first half and reverted to a back four in the second. The only player who didn't get any game time was Adam Khan.
  3. Wade can be deceptive. Historically Wade has always been one of the biggest 140 hitters on tour and one of the best double hitters. He is averaging a ton across the whole tournament. He’s back up to 5th in the world having dropped out of the top 20 a few years back. In this competition, in the four games he has played he has hit more 140s than his opponent in every one. His checkout percentages have been 56%, 42%, 65%, 67%. That’s ridiculously high and how he nicks the legs. For comparison, Littler has been 35%, 43%, 32%, 53%. Wade just doesn’t hit a barrage of 180s. However if Littler turn up on his A or even B game he’ll still cruise this.
  4. Spurs activate Morgan Gibbs White release clause hence what happens
  5. What is everybody favourite Rovers goal?.
  6. I saw that earlier, it's an opinion piece rather than a transfer link.
  7. Back in 1992 on the 27th July he joined Rovers. What a signing and true Rovers legend. Best striker I've ever
  8. We are both passionate Rovers fans at the end of the day. Yes we discuss the issues but I have nothing but respected @roversfan99 and his opinions whilst respectfully disagreeing with him. If you think ive become more hostile then I apologise if it comes across that way.
  9. I don't think that will happen. As stated above, the new law places a statutory obligation on clubs to hold regular meetings with a representative group of supporters. Any club which was in breach of that obligation could potentially have their licence to operate withdrawn by the Independent Regulator.
  10. Today
  11. Looks like I was wrong, these things happen. Hindsight sees in 20/20.
  12. If he did have a bad knee injury which kept him out of the second half of last season whilst he was out on loan, then nursing him back may make some sense. Although it could just as easily be that he isn't as good as those who brought him in, thought he was I've still not seen any mention this pre season of Higgins, Leeming, Mansbridge, or Joseph. So wonder if they are injured or have maybe just been with the U18s? But they are all players who I would have thought would be with the U21s, at least in pre season
  13. Just seen that Morgan Gibbs-White signed new 3 year contract at Forest. Whatever his reasons it's a real slap in the face for Spuds.
  14. Newcastle are bang up against their Fair Play ceiling but haven't learned City accounting yet...
  15. Interesting that Mafoumbi (who also had his name spelled wrong) only makes the bench in a u21 side weakened by having quite a few players off with the first team.
  16. If he even does get replaced.
  17. Yesterday
  18. I find James Wade quite an odd player. He's generally a one treble per visit merchant which shouldn't really be good enough to trouble the very top players these days but somehow he always seems to drag his opponent down to his level and often manages to pull off a decent finish to nick a leg he's been behind in. If Littler is on his best form tomorrow it'll be a slaughter but I wouldn't be surprised if Wade makes it scrappy and the match ends up reasonably close.
  19. Dartzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  20. You and RF99 have had back and forth for years. You always disagree on nearly everything but you spend a lot of time talking with each other. You both spend more time talking to each other than anyone else. You're basically frenemies. Anyway, I'm saying all of this to ask you - why has your tone to RF99 become more hostile and rude recently? I mean, you have become moreso in general to be perfectly honest, but I'm really curious why you seem to have changed from respectfully disagreeing with him to acting like he's an idiot. He is in no way an idiot btw. He also doesn't seem to be aggressive towards you, his comments are pretty much always measured. (This isn't because of this post in particular btw, you've been much ruder to him in others)
  21. This is the point. You don't need a flex ticket option if season tickets are priced well.
  22. Isn't that classed as a professional foul and given a yellow card? In theory of course....
  23. It isnt using critical thinking to just assume that every thing that happens is exactly as planned. You have fabricated that argument that I dont want the young players to come through. I will reiterate that I would have both Tyjon and Montgomery as part of the first team squad. (Although I would want their contracts to be sorted before the window closes) I also havent said that I want a new keeper. If both got injured then I think we could sign a senior goalkeeper anyway, might be wrong but think you can get an emergency one on a short term loan. But unlikely to be needed. The stuff about Boggan is really stretching it. If he had even the slightest intention of using him then he would have been involved in the first team picture in pre season. I stand by what I said, that we wanted 6 or 7 BEFORE Weimann and Batth left, and when Gestede spoke, he also said we need a right winger to replace ACD "as we only have Dolan." If we only sign 2 or 3 more, I dont think the squad will be as big as they had planned Its not an immense criticism to suggest that a club might not fill every intended vacancy in the squad that it had planned. Last summer, we were desperately scrambling around for another winger on deadline day and one fell through so we didnt get everything we wanted then either.
  24. So if Brittain goes you’ll be happy to come back here and say you were wrong then Chaddy? You’ll have no issue admitting that you judged that one completely wrong. I’ll be the first to say I was wrong if the tables are turned and he’s here at the end of the window. I just can’t see it happening.
  25. It's a problem Lancs have faced for years too - that Old Trafford pitch just doesn't deteriorate. It's too hard.
