You didn't miss anything. A state of induced coma might be a decent option for consideration in the run down to the end of the season. VENKYS OUT! SUHAIL PASHA OUT! KNOBHEAD WITH SHORT TROUSERS AND ANKLE SOCKS OUT! -
How does every other championship club and many at levels below us attract new owners? Why are we so unique that nobody else could possibly own us? Vebkys greatest achievement in the past 15 years is that they have ma aged to convince a good portion of the fanbase that nobody else could possibly own us.

Championship clubs on the market have little issue attracting investors from what I can see… but of course you need two parties at the table.

Total agreement. If 6000 in the stadium doesnt embarass them then the view of 2,000 wont upset them as there would be little difference. -

That side had Danny Graham and very little else, I honestly think the current lot is significantly better. Doesn't mean we'll stay up mind you. I can see us keeping Oxford and obviously Wednesday behind us, but avoiding 22 will be a scrap. -

The injuries certainly haven't helped. What is catching up with us far more though, is the self inflicted absence of sufficient depth or quality within the squad. -

Embarrassment for us as supporters but not for them. Why would it? They don't care. -

Oh my... we have had plenty of low moments, but this is absolutely up there. With Norwich rising, we are going to need to pull out some performances from somewhere, somehow (which to be fair we have done a few times this season (weather limited)) - absolute dross. Clearly a lack of strikers isn't helping - this isn't a surprise it has been the case for a few weeks, so why on earth hadn't they got someone lined up for the second the window opened? It'll be the same XI again and again at this rate, with ever diminishing returns. -
Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Andy replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Purely based on the fact that he knows how to run a training session in even a semi-professional manner puts him above Coyle in the competency league. Coyle was a Sunday League level coach, let's not forget that. Not old enough to have experienced anything pre-Dalglish, but Kean is (bald) head and slippery shoulders above anything in our history, for both footballing and non-footballing reasons. Ismael's home record is astoundingly poor, but he doesn't come close to either of the above 2 clowns, in my opinion. -
I would love a modern day Jack Walker... If there was one and the Venky's dug in, then I'd be all for a boycott to force their hand. My point was, at the moment I can't see an investor on the horizon. That doesn't excuse the current situation we are in - far from it, but no bids means 'what is the alternative?'.

Surely 2,000 people in a 30,000, stadium every week would be enough of an embarrassment. That's where we will be in 5 years or so if they are still here. If everyone boycotts season tickets next season we can make it happen sooner -

How long until the end of Venkys?
davulsukur replied to ilian22's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Hopefully not long, because to be honest, I'm really fucking sick of this ownership. This isn't what supporting a football team is supposed to be about. 80% of the talk on this board isn't related to what goes on, on the pitch, it's all about the latest club fuck up, owners in court, good players leaving, good manager ls leaving, the infrastructure not being up to scratch. It's been a 15 year slog and we deserve to be rid of these clowns. We've had to suffer for long enough. Dingles idolising our owners tells you all you need to know about Venkys. I hate them, absolutely fucking despise them. They've destroyed this football club and I can't wait for them to finally sell up and fuck off. -

All things can usually be made…the challenge is the minimum order to make the price point competitive. We couldn’t use that badge though… e.g. our 50’s retro shirts - if we could have sold say 500, the price point would have fallen significantly. We take pre-orders to test the market, but to take pre-orders you still have to take a punt on the unit price. With the 50’s shirts I got it just about perfect (there’s only 1 left…in Medium if anyone is interested 😉) but if I hadn’t, it would have been a loss leader. I have some ideas for future products using the same supplier & I hope to get some samples made up to test the water. The next shirt I’d like to do is the “Bob Crompton” - halves on different side, lighter blue, grandad collar…so if that appears in the Roverstore soon, we know they read this thread 😆 -
Todd Cantwell - is he off?
TimmyJimmy replied to ruggles1995's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
100%. Little extra needs saying except I'd add this, if VI was a party to the sale of the players in close season and had input into the purchase of the current dross then he fully deserves to be condemned with Gestede, the board and the owners. If he didn't then I'm not on his case because any manager being asked to compete with this line up is doomed to fail. Even Fergie couldn't pull it off. These players are absolutely nowhere near Championship standard. Chuck in a couple postponement replays, a whole team of 'first on the list' players injured and too many games in too short a time on a shit heavy hamstring tearing pitch, chuck in some 'unfortunate' refereeing displays and we are where I think we'd expect to be. There can be no argument whatsoever that we have been poisoned by the ownership and it's impossible to know why. They employ the board, fire good people and hire bad, they starve us of funds, they sell our good players, they run down contracts and force people out. If VI was party to any of the above then he deserves all the anger that's come his way. If he was a desperate unemployed manager who was grasping for any straw and thought 'how bad could it be' well now he knows. Cantwell is an excellent player surrounded by average (at best) players, he cannot shine, he has to be frustrated. If I were him I'd be off like a shot. Who the heck is going to sign for a club like this in January? 100% agree with you mate, our only hope is a sale and clear out. How likely is that? 0%. The club is done.
