Went down to re-organise our seats for next year last week. We're moving to the JW. It seems the centre blocks in the upper tier are selling well as we are much further out from the centre than hoped for, unless we had taken seats further back than I wanted. The TO staff couldn't have been more helpful as we had a complicated set of changes to make, even letting us in to the stand to check the view of the seats available. Fortunatley it was raining so we could check exactly how far in the rain blows.. I was surprised to find it came in as far as row 10 in the Lower Tier.

Pitch looked a bit rough!

Hey I'm moving to the JW too Paul. :tu:

Anyway food for thought and a question ........ Was this reduced pricing policy announced in March (I think) the idea of the current owners with a sale in mind as the primary concern, or the new ones to get ST's bought early before this news broke?<_<

I dont recall when all pages and pages of the why's and wherefors of the reduced cost ST policy were discussed on here that anybody ever considered what could turn actually out to be the real reason!

LOL!! :D

thought i`d spin it out a bit.....

I`ve been told quite reliably 11,700 so far. ;) ....& we`re still in June

The way the wind can swirl round Ewood I doubt many seats are 100% safe. I've been rained on a couple of times in row 27(!) of the BBE.

Hmmm I dont think 12,000 is that great a figure. It would be good to hear how we're doing in comparison with previous years. I've renewed and added a junior :):tu:

Excluding corporates (about 1,000) it's around that figure and is better than the total figure for last season already. (Which included half season ticket sales at Christmas)

And there's still 6 weeks to the start of the season. (And Christmas at Christmas)

John Williams interview said the increase is between 10 and 20% depending on how you measure.

I guess there are a number of revisions and transfers between parts of the ground complicating the picture.

Anyone actually got through to the ticket office by phone in the last two days? ..I keep getting "This number is temporarily out of order!" Think we have missed paying a bill over the summer break!

Great news on the sale of the season tickets, i'll be happy with 16 - 17,000 holders.

The top end of ST holders in the mid 1990's was 17000.

I believe the figure from last season was between 13k and 13.5k including half season tickets, and no where near all of them have yet renewed.

Didn't realise this.

A ManUre fan just rang in Talksport to say that since the Glazers came to power as well as ticket prices going up they have introduced a compulsory ticket purchase scheme.

This means all season ticket holders MUST purchase a ticket for ALL home Cup games of any description whether they want to or are able to go or not! And there's no provision for returns!

Bloody scandalous!

Glad it's them and not us.

That figure must include Corporates.

Apparently we are past last year's total already despite the fact a significant number of ST holders from last season haven't renewed.

Presumably quite a few of those will renew as the season approaches and the need seems more pressing. It won't be anywhere near Roar's 16-17k though.

I think 15k+ would be a good results for ST holders - and hopefully the number of walk ons will increase giving us an average of 24k again.

Fortunately for them, United seem to have a never ending waiting list of dead heads willing to pay anything to live the 'theatre of dreams' experience.

Good news indeed Weaver about ticket sales, the razor blades are on hold............sm-bored.gif

Its a complete myth, they are in the process of emailing anyone who has ever attended to invite them to purchase a LMTB (basically a season ticket) for one season....

Conservative estimates suggest close to 8000 non renewals over the last 2 seasons - the home cup scheme potential could cost £400 on the price of a season ticket.

(And Christmas at Christmas)

It usually is then ;)

I`d be very suprised if they got that many, seeing as Rovers only got approx 19k home fans last year. We live in hope though.
