pksrover Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I'm looking forward to Wembley! Train tickets sorted, that just leaves match tickets and pre/post match drinks. imagine this: get the chance to Rickmeisters purple/pink/girly car, and then go on to win the Semi-final!?!
Daremz Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I'm going to invite all my friends and watch at home. I'll build a mini-Rover-stand in the living room. So, another 10 fans watching and (at least 1) praying in Holland for the upset of the century. All of yours - enjoy, make me proud to be a Rover watching all you lucky loonatics at OT...good luck!!!
SAS Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 the train beckons..are they every hour? i suspect northern rail will be putting on a special convoy of trains, as id expect probably 1 in 3 to go on the train i know theres 4 of us on train
Dan Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 The ticket details should go up today? I just hope I'll be able to get a couple of tickets since I'm not a season ticket holder(yet).
Tris Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 i suspect northern rail will be putting on a special convoy of trains, as id expect probably 1 in 3 to go on the train i know theres 4 of us on train I think it's far more likely they'll find some useful engineering work to be doing and will shut the line down for the whole day
Ricky Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 imagine this: get the chance to Rickmeisters purple/pink/girly car, and then go on to win the Semi-final!?! I'll pick you up in the purple peril on may way through manchester mate Hoping Manchester Central's bar is as accomodating as Ancoats was.
Saltysellars Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 i suspect northern rail will be putting on a special convoy of trains, as id expect probably 1 in 3 to go on the train i know theres 4 of us on train Northern Rail don't know their backside from their elbow to be honest, there's no way they'll have the foresight to put on extra trains. I tried to get into Manchester from Leyland on the same day Live 8 was on, and they were showing it on that big screen next to Marks and Sparks. Oasis were playing at the council house on the same day and still only two carriages. On another ocassion again from Leyland, it was the last saturday shopping day before Christmas, Manure were at home, and still no extra train or carriages. I can't see it happening
AllRoverAsia Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 The ticket details should go up today? I just hope I'll be able to get a couple of tickets since I'm not a season ticket holder(yet). I hope that I can get a couple too. I'm coming over from Thailand for it anyway. Will catch the Villa game too. Can't wait.
1864roverite Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Just read the recent reports from a chelski website about how they are so pi$$ed off about having to go to Manchester for the semi final and that as a result they wont take their full allocation of 36000 tickets ! What is also perfectly clear is that they only have to turn up to progress to wembely ! Had a text msge from my mate who works in the tv business and it would appear that they have already prearranged a hotel for the final, booked their celebration dinner for the evening and have made tentative arrangements for an open bus tour on the sunday after the final ! it wouldnt surprise me if they have already wrote and recorded their cup final song as well as having got the cup final suits already dry cleaned. Rovers 9-1 to make the final at Micky dones Rovers no-hopers according to most bookies Rovers written off by the pundits Rovers disrespected by everyone Oh Mr Hughes, the setting is right. If there was ever an occasion to upset the applecart then this is it. BRING IT ON
Dan Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 That will take any pressure of us. Suits us to be the underdogs. Can't wait to see maureen moaning, any chance of a micro climate at OT?
USABlue Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Not going to scroll through the whole thread so if this question is a repeat my apologies, is there replays for the Semis or do we go straight to PK's

Perhaps we should call the Hotel and ask for first dibs on the rooms when Chelsea cancel

Hasta Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I'll be going on the choo choo, but previously I've parked at the Lowry centre. If you then go into Lime bar (or any of the pizza places / other eateries) and buy some grub you get your parking free. You have to queue a bit to get off the car park after the game but it's relatively hassle free. I might go for the £45 tickets this time. The £35 ones in the top tier look to be the same as for the past semi-finals there. In the game when McEveley marked Beckham out of the match I was on the back row of the top tier and it was not good. It was like Newcastle except that you couldnt see anything that went higher than the crossbar at the opposite end as the roof come down and blocked your view.
