Jan Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Ince has gone back to the MK Dons. Thats your level Paul, stay there. Wish he'd (insert very rude word here) stayed there. Utter crap.

Backroom Tom Posted July 3, 2009 Backroom Posted July 3, 2009 Good luck Paul, best to let sleeping dogs lie, hope he makes it back to the top in the right time this time around.
Fylde Coast Fan Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Good luck Paul, best to let sleeping dogs lie, hope he makes it back to the top in the right time this time around. Seconded. Hopefully the experience has humbled him a bit but I doubt it somehow. Still, all the best.
DanLad Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 His tenure just seems like a distant nightmare, thankfully. People say he will be a success at the top level... Why?
Blue blood Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Not sure where all the best stuff is coming from, he nearly ruined us. Hard to wish a guy who nearly undid 3 years hard graft in 6 months well. Add in the guys arrogance and post sacking comments and I can't see any motivation for wanting him to succeed. As for Matthais "I've worked with Paul for three years and had great success, but we'd just have to wait and see." I think great success is somewhat of an overexageration, and if it were me wouldn't want to be associated with the Ince era at rovers.
rog of the rovers Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Rovers v MK Dons in a cup competition is bound to happen next season. I wouldn't boo if he came back though, he was sacked at the right time and I feel we have moved on, and are better for it.
broadsword Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Ince has gone back to the MK Dons. Thats your level Paul, stay there. I think TK Maxx is more his level.
Amo Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 The man never took responsibility for his failure, and hid behind the thin veil of our finances (or lack thereof).
philipl Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I am sorry but no way could I ever wish any success on this man. He was a an unmittigated disaster at Ewood and has got very lucky in going back to MK Dons. I had anticipated they would be pace setters in the third division but as things stand, life has just got a whole lot easier for Leeds because of this appointment.
Backroom DE. Posted July 5, 2009 Backroom Posted July 5, 2009 I wish him nothing but failure. He came here, ruined three years of good work, made us a laughing stock of a club, and then left with a £millions compensation package. Hope we get MK Dons next year in one of the cups and absolutely stuff them
Claytons Left Boot Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Just seeing him on tv lately and indeed on the 08/09 season video makes me cringe. Wavering voice.....you know........you know.......wavering voice........you know.........you know......... tfwgr (##### #### we got rid)
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Can we not just bin this thread completely mods......its like hell revisited just seeing his name mentioned on this mb and connected with our club!
thenodrog Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 No it's like Remembrance Sunday. 'Lest we forget' and all that. A permanent reminder to John Williams of his own fallibility and the dangers of settling for mediocrity as a soft option.
John Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Agree, would prefer not to see his name again. Always thought he was a complete prIck as a person and his attempt at managing our club just angers me....
RibbleValleyRover Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Going to be interesting to see how he does without Mathias. From reading some of the MK Dons forums they really wanted Mathias as his number 2, some even reckon their success was more down to Mathias than Ince. With Ince looking to bring in Robinson and perhaps Neil Lennon its looking like the rumours of a bust up might be true.

He stayed on another week or so didn't he?
T4E Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Maybe it's because Ray didn't walk when Ince got the sack...? He stayed on another week or so didn't he? Robinson stayed even longer so I doubt it's that.
Stuart Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Robinson stayed even longer so I doubt it's that. Good point but maybe Robinson spoke to Ince about it, perhaps he couldn't afford to be out of work whereas Mathias is practically a pensioner. Plus aren't Ince and Karl big mates or something?

Plus aren't Ince and Karl big mates or something? Perhaps we're giving these clowns too much credit to think any of them are capable of such complex thought processes
Grabbi Graeme Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Ince was being interviewed on SSN earlier on and asked about his time at Blackburn he replied that he wasn't given the tools to do the job, so he's blaming everyone else but himself for his failure.

I would argue, that he did indeed have the tools for the job. He signed 'em.

He also said that if he was given the tools we'd "still be in the Premier League". Astoundingly thick.

Isn't there a saying where a craftsman never blames his tools?
