Ozz Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 I am reliably told that Rovers are about to offer an unbelievable deal-For a one off price of £20 you will be granted entry to all of the remaining home games, after tomorrows game against Spurs. No more details than this, but assuming this is true, then what a deal that is-three games for a score. This will NOT include the game this Saturday against Spurs, just to be clear.

Hughesy Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Wigan, Pompey & West Brom at home for just £20 - CANT BEAT THAT DEAL. Well done Rovers, hope the paying public take them up on it!!
AndyNeil Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 I saw an advert for this at the turnstiles last night, but never said anything as I was told via Twitter the club were going to announce this on Saturday. The offer is unreserved seating in the Darwen End lower @ £20 for all three matches. So now is the chance for people who can't afford football to see 3 big matches for the club at a VERY affordable price. Get it packed out and lets roar the team on to safety - C'MON YOU BLUES!!!!!
rovgers Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 A good move by Rovers to get the ground full for those games we might need to win to stay up but yet again nowt for us season ticket holders
modes98 Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Anything to get more rovers fans in for these games is brilliant, we need the ground full. It's all about being the 12th man, afterall the opposition always have 12, bloody refs.
Barberella Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 "A good move by Rovers to get the ground full for those games we might need to win to stay up but yet again nowt for us season ticket holders" Come on mate - don't know about you but I pay £299 for my season ticket - thats cheaper than burnley, preston, Blackpool and about half the price of most other premier league clubs. I think we are pretty well looked after! Could do with a win tomorrow mind! Lets hope the public take it up
rovgers Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 The thing is if the club have to revert to promotions like this more and more to get fans into the ground, will there come a point where its cheaper to take up these offers compared to getting a season ticket?
Hughesy Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 At 37 a pop for United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal etc I doubt it. Thats half the price of a season ticket almost. As for season ticket holders - think yourself lucky your one when it comes to Stoke away
rovgers Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 We don't sell out for the visit of the teams you mention, so maybe the club will have to think about reducing the £37 price tag. I've had a seaon ticket since 85 and I'll be getting one next season, thats mainly because Im such a lazy @rse and can't be bothered getting tickets for every home game
Hughesy Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Why would they reduce it? Maximise income against the bigger away followings like United & Liverpool - it makes business sense
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Well done Rovers on an excellent initiative to get the good folk of Blackburn in the ground...whether it works or not is another matter going off previous experience! Excellent to see the away fans banished into the top tier of the Darwen end.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Should this thread not be pinned to the top mods?
Sandiway Blue Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 What a great deal by Rovers! Even Waggy can`t complain about this. But you never know......
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Let's hope the national media publish this amazing offer Rovers have done for their fans. Maybe it will encourage more teams to make football more affordable to fans across the country. Well done Rovers. Yet again you certainly know how to treat your fans. Very proud of the club.
Amo Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 What a great deal by Rovers! Even Waggy can`t complain about this. but lardarse is still there.
robbo_rovers Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Is this definitely true? I haven't seen anything on the website.
trs Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Is this definitely true? I haven't seen anything on the website. Yes it's true http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/...ce_ticket_deal/
AndyNeil Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Have a look at http://www.onerovers.co.uk ... get as many people down there as possible and the darwen end packed out with rovers fans!
1864roverite Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 A good move by Rovers to get the ground full for those games we might need to win to stay up but yet again nowt for us season ticket holders FREE travel to STOKE FREE travel to FULHAM Its simply a way of getting the fans behind the team to generate a positive atmosphere. if want to complain bugger off to Burnley and pay $400 or so to watch uter crap rather than at Ewood
ihtd Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I'll be purchasing one those first thing in morning. The games are around university deadline dates but I'll get the work done earlier and get down to Ewood Great move by the club IMO
Hughesy Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Season ticket holders should also help out and spread the word among friends - I have done with alot of people I know.
AndyNeil Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I wonder if people who are S/T holders can transfer into it? ... not bothered about the price difference. some people ALWAYS like to moan and it wouldn't matter what the club did.
gumboots Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Season ticket holders should also help out and spread the word among friends - I have done with alot of people I know. I've done it too with anyone I can think of who sometimes goes but not to every game. My daughter and her friends are thinking of getting them depending on Uni deadlines and work commitments. to be honest it will be cheaper than buying a one off ticket for two games to sit with us, so even if she can't make all 3 it's great.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 The club should hammer this home on local Radio, papers, internet the ruddy lot over the coming weeks.... Six pounds sixty six pence per game...Credit crunching Rovers!! WTF
stuwilky Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 FREE travel to FULHAM Fulham paid for that didnt they? After the ridiculously late postponement - the same way we did for Sunderland a few years back. As for the offer - good work Rovers.
