philipl Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Never heard that one. Sub for the B team yesterday. Think that one was a myth. And you were trolling me about mental health when I wrote you had lost your inside contact?

Blackburn Ravers Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 His out of contract at the end of the season it would be daft to have any clause inserted in favour of Barca. i agree but if Rovers are trying to link up with Barca then it may be a good idea
nicko Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Nicko, any surprise transfer for Rovers? is anyone close to leaving the club? Nothing at this stage. And not likely to be. Just the formalities on Formica and Rochina. Plus Samba contract announcement.
alexanders Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Nicko. Have you heard about any interest in Diego Castro and what happened to our interest in Osvaldo?
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Samba isn't good enough for Arsenal. He looks good in a team like ours because we have a fair bit of 'backs to the wall' defending to do, which he is brilliant at. Arsenal rarely have to do that though, they need defenders who can keep concentration for 90 minutes and start attacks from the back. Samba isn't good at either of those, he's prone to daft mistakes and his passing isn't the best. I agree with all of that. He's not a top four defender, he's not got enough ability on the ball for the teams that are in European competitions. Still a good player for the likes of Rovers though.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 i agree but if Rovers are trying to link up with Barca then it may be a good idea I don't see why Barca would want to link up with Rovers. They can offer us great players and we can offer them.......err.............? I can see it now Iniesta, Xavi and Andrews??? In all seriousness, I think if this guy was pushing for first team football then Barca would have tied him down to a longer contract if they wanted to have an option to purchase him at a later date. There's probably a reason why his contract is running out, they more than likely don't think he's good enough.
rovers1995 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Nicko, when will we announce the contract of Samba. Are we waiting till the transfer window closes?
Blackburn Ravers Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 I don't see why Barca would want to link up with Rovers. They can offer us great players and we can offer them.......err.............? I can see it now Iniesta, Xavi and Andrews??? Obviously i am not talking about getting Barca`s first team players, i was talking about similar player to Rochina, the Barca B players, Pointless reply mate
Oklahoma Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Nothing at this stage. And not likely to be. Just the formalities on Formica and Rochina. Plus Samba contract announcement. Good enough for me. But in the summer Kean will have to get rid of a lot of "players"
modes98 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 I don't see why Barca would want to link up with Rovers. They can offer us great players and we can offer them.......err.............? We offer the Barca youth players a chance to play first team football in the premiership. That is invaluable for them. These are players that can't get into the team at the moment because of Messi, etc. If we had someone like Bojan a year or 2 back we would be laughing, now there is little chance they will loan him out. It is not a deal in terms of them buying off us, well unless we uncover the next Messi from Darwen.
S15 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 I don't see why Barca would want to link up with Rovers. They can offer us great players and we can offer them.......err.............? Another one who has completely missed the point.
chocky Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Good enough for me. But in the summer Kean will have to get rid of a lot of "players" I think there really will be a spring clean of players..He might actually have some real money to spend.

Samba isn't good at either of those, he's prone to daft mistakes and his passing isn't the best. If you're trying to put Arsesene Wenger off him - good job! Otherwise I couldn't disagree more. Sambsa is clearly one of the best three or four centre halves in the League alongside the likes of Terry and Vidic.
S15 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Sambsa is clearly one of the best three or four centre halves in the League alongside the likes of Terry and Vidic. You're joking?
ada2020 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 I am shocked the Barca link has to be spelt out to people. Fingers crossed that we get Formica and Rochina signed up tomorrow.
S15 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 I am shocked the Barca link has to be spealt out to people. Possibly my favourite ever post.
RevidgeBlue Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 You're joking? No, otherwise I wouldn't have posted to that effect. Which ones are better?
Oklahoma Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Latest news is that Arsenal will make a bid of £19 million for Gary Cahill. Is he worth it?
ada2020 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Possibly my favourite ever post. High praise, maybe I shouldn't be shocked people don't understand the link.
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Possibly my favourite ever post. Has to be post of the year to date
AlanK Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 So after 87645 posts and 374638273645 viewings, none of us knew anything. More suprised we haven`t shifted the dead wood rather than the signings. Or lack of signings.
chocky Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 I know it's off topic but I hope Spurs play like this on Wednesday...
slough_rover Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 If you're trying to put Arsesene Wenger off him - good job! Otherwise I couldn't disagree more. Sambsa is clearly one of the best three or four centre halves in the League alongside the likes of Terry and Vidic. Vidic Ferdinand Vermaelen(sp) Dawson King Woodgate(fit) Carragher Agger Cahill Terry Evans Hangelaand Those are the few off the top of my head that are better than Samba.
S15 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 No, otherwise I wouldn't have posted to that effect. Which ones are better? Ferdinand, Vidic, Terry, King, Vermaelen, Kompany, Lescott, Haangeland, Gallas, Cahill... All off the top of my head.
nicko Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Nicko. Have you heard about any interest in Diego Castro and what happened to our interest in Osvaldo? Didn't hear anything about Castro. And Osvaldo was an idea of the previous managerial regime - or an agent close to them.
