MarkBRFC Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I can see all the bottom 5 losing today, so there will likely be no change in the bottom 3. I think this time next month the picture could be a bit clearer.

Amo Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Terry Connor seems to have difficult speaking, communication could be difficult? He said he'd lost his voice after all the interviews he had to do.

Backroom Tom Posted February 25, 2012 Backroom Posted February 25, 2012 Couldn't have started much better Wolves and QPR behind early, think it may be a twisty turny afternoon
rovers11 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Couldn't have started much better Wolves and QPR behind early, think it may be a twisty turny afternoon Can't see wolves coming back. I expect QPR to hit back - they are in BIG trouble if they lose this one. Bolton should lose and I can never predict what wigan will do but they may sneak a win.
rovermagic Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I still think it's strange that one of our best players is Robinson. And he may be worst keeper in league. All say he is better at sht stopping. And only average at patrolling his area. Yet he only saves 52% of shots at his goal. Compared to Joe Hart who is best at 79%. He doesn't look to have many goals his fault. Yet he is not very good at managing to be where the ball is This is not the first year he's come bottom. But you know if the balk's coming on target, half the time it will be a goal. For Hat and City only one-fifth of the time. Puts enormous pressure on Hanley and Dann and without Samba...
incy wincy little spider Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 So far so good! Maybe we will survive just because there are 3 teams that can't manage to win a game
Mercer Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 So far so good! Maybe we will survive just because there are 3 teams that can't manage to win a game And where do you think our next win is coming from ?
incy wincy little spider Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 And where do you think our next win is coming from ? Well it's looking like we won't need as many points as is previous seasons. We should be able to beat the teams around us. QPR: done, Wolves: Should do. Wigan: Shouldn't lose. Bolton: not sure.
rovers11 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 QPR now down to 10. I thought that was a home banker. Massive problems for QPR.
imy9 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 And where do you think our next win is coming from ? Don't know 5.30 perhaps? Lol Having beaten Man Utd away and Arsenal at home but lost to weaker teams home and away I honestly could not predict. The team does score goals and historically teams that score goals tend to survive so we are in with a shout.
MarkBRFC Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Agree with the above post, thats the reason why i think we'll scrape home by the skin of our teeth again. We are bad, but good grief the teams around us are terrible aswell.
Backroom Tom Posted February 25, 2012 Backroom Posted February 25, 2012 Wow Wolves now 2-2 after 2-0 down, maybe the new manager can do a teamtalk! Edit: Back in the bottom 3 with Wolves getting a good point but I still think they will go down, the bonus today is QPR losing one of their easiest remaining games, if they slip into the bottom 3 they may struggle to get out. I imagine our GD is about to take a battering but to be still in touching distance is better than I expected after the Bolton game.
John Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I think we will be OK - Wolves. Wigan and Bolton. QPR have tough run in too.
Silencio Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 We've been lucky have decent keepers since we were promoted to the Premier League in the early 90's but since that time I would say Robbo is the 2nd worst we have had. Only Fettis was worse than him. He made a glaring mistake yesterday but as someone mentioned earlier, most of his mistakes aren't glaring because he is often not close enough to make glaring mistakes in the 1st place.
Wimbledon Rover Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Think Bolton will survive, there run in is incredibly easy. But would agree QPR task looks decidedly uphill. Villa game will be big, looks also they'll be without Bent which is a blessing. You never know we might survive but by being least worse! If we survive, we'll be as vulnerable as a promoted club! I suspect 35 points will enough this year.

Wimbledon Rover Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Rather have Heskey than Keane, think the Gods are on our side on this one. The other plus ( and there were few!), for a very thin squad we suffered no injuries or suspensions yeaterday. Keeping our best 11 on the pitch will be key. Hope Dunn is back next week, reckon he's out best combo with the Yak! I know it's all a bit painful, but football without hope is all a little dull for me!
ross-shire rover Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 If, and that is a very very big if, we don't get relegated the most amazing thing will be that there are 3 teams worse than us. What does that say about the Premier League?
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 If, and that is a very very big if, we don't get relegated the most amazing thing will be that there are 3 teams worse than us. What does that say about the Premier League? We didn't get relegated last year but it was pretty obvious at the time that we weren't any better than the three that did get relegated.
Andy Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 However, if we stay up and keep Kean at the club, we'll be going through the same thing again next year.
John Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Just look at the team sheets, there is some real dross playing in the PL.
Waggy76 Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 If, and that is a very very big if, we don't get relegated the most amazing thing will be that there are 3 teams worse than us. What does that say about the Premier League? It says that the premier league has some crap teams .....Shows Kean up even more ..Any decent manager would have us safe by now ! For the record I think Bolton will survive , just cannot see us winning another game , nobody will stand up and be counted ,we have no winners on the books .I think when March comes round the going gets tough so the tough get going ,just looking at our squad they will wave their white flags.. We do not have enough premier league quality players anymore ..

We do not have enough premier league quality players anymore .. I think the general quality in the Premier League has really dropped in recent seasons. Man City apart, the clubs aren't buying the best in the world anymore. I think that explains why the newly promoted teams are having a bigger impact these days. Rovers are a poor side but there are plenty of other poor sides too. We've only really been rolled over by Arsenal and City recently...we usually are to be honest and it personally gives me no need to panic. I totally agree that a better manager would have us safe by now but we've generally competed well since the Bolton game and I can see no reason why we won't win games against equally poor teams during the run-in.
