Mike Graham Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 never mind the Pune 9 who are the Kean 33 (the ones who voted to give the plonker more time) ?

John Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Problem with any decision is that Venkys dither and take so long over everything the Sam dismissal came out of the blue, however that was likely to be always on their radar regardless of results. Can you really see them firing Kean and appointing a new manager within a few days? Sadly cant see it - who could do the hiring and firing? No one has experience of doing it even though Hunt was the one who told Jensen I believe.
beerwins Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Problem with any decision is that Venky’s dither and take so long over everything – the Sam dismissal came out of the blue, however that was likely to be always on their radar regardless of results. Can you really see them firing Kean and appointing a new manager within a few days? Sadly can’t see it - who could do the hiring and firing? No one has experience of doing it even though Hunt was the one who told Jensen I believe. That's because they had JW to do it, they lacked the backbone to do it. Will they sack their buddy? Not a chance in hell. In all honesty I'm starting to wonder if the fact he is still in a job is because they cant get anyone who they want to replace him.
John Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I know, the point I was making is that they take so long over most decisions - the Sam dismissal was pre planned as there were strong rumours over his position just before Venky's took over.
Ripleys love child Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Seems awfully quiet , even vinjay hasn't been tweeting . All seems a bit strange for my liking , let's just hope it's the calm before the storm.
beatrix Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Just been told by a longstanding leicester fan that Erricson was sacked because he was in conversation with Rovers about the managers job.
booth Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 never mind the Pune 9 who are the Kean 33 (the ones who voted to give the plonker more time) ? I don't know. The only people who I'm aware of who now want to give him more time are Burnley fans. With their current lack of form, Steve Kean is the only joy they get. It's incredible, I work at a place where all jobs are under redundancy review. These are people who know their stuff, rarely put a foot wrong and have given the place glowing reports. Yet Steve Kean who is consistently poor at his job manages to dodge the bullet time after time. And if he gets sacked, he gets a huge payout. There simply cannot be a God.
T4E Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 What a hugely pivotal moment we are at in our season right now. Looking at our upcoming fixtures, if we could get 3 wins from the next 5 we will be in with a great shout of survival. If we can do that and come out the other end with atleast 9 more points and a new manager, things will look a lot brighter for the rest of the season. If we fail to get the wins we need and come out the other end with Steve Kean we may as well give up at that point. The next couple of days are enormous for our season and future. Come on Venkys - its time to act.
Waggy76 Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 That's because they had JW to do it, they lacked the backbone to do it. Will they sack their buddy? Not a chance in hell. In all honesty I'm starting to wonder if the fact he is still in a job is because they cant get anyone who they want to replace him. That is what I have been thinking since Saturday , there are managers out there , but I suspect Jerome won't help if Venkys sack his buddy. So who can Venkys appoint ? they wouldn't know where to start.
den Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 never mind the Pune 9 who are the Kean 33 (the ones who voted to give the plonker more time) ? Click on "view" and you can see who wants to give him more time.
Clitherover Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 never mind the Pune 9 who are the Kean 33 (the ones who voted to give the plonker more time) ? You would hope It would be a lesser number than that now as the poll hasn't been reset since after the Spurs game. I expect the usual suspects would still vote to give him more time, won't mention any names but I think we all know they are Dingles by now.
Jackson Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 The supporter shock and awe, lack of Venkey PR and the prolonged silence suggest to me that the Incredibles are currently reviewing all options. I can think of no better time, Phil/Kamy/BK etc, to get on that blower to your Qatari mates and get that offer back on the table. Time is of the essence here so we all need to drop our ccks and grab our socks before the "Poisonous one" gets his claws back into Balaj.
SD4E Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I am going to register my daughters birth this morning, and I thought about putting her middle name as "keanout". It would surely have got some media attention, raised the profile of our campaign to get rid of the bald twonk, But the wife has threatened divorce if it happens! I told her we can change it back a little later in her life....
Kamy100 Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 My contact at Venky's doesn't believe that Kean will be sacked, the owners have not said anything about sacking Kean. From memory he has only ever been wrong once (he said Rovers weren't after Raul, when we were). So at this moment I would say that Kean not getting sacked.
alexanders Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 ###### hell. I knew I shouldnt get my hopes up.
perthblue02 Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 My contact at Venky's doesn't believe that Kean will be sacked, the owners have not said anything about sacking Kean. Oh well Venky's Out campaign goes to level 5 then, now where's that tel number for PETA India
mark1875 Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 If they are not going to remove this man, they best get some tin hats they had their eyes opened by fan reaction at Wigan? Well strap yourself in for the ride because you have not seen nothing yet! VENKYS GET OUT OF OUR CLUB (if you sack him i will give you another little chance whilst i celebrate )
rebelmswar Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 This is all a sick joke. The owners are surely a bit whimsical in the brain pan if they continue with this sorry sack of @#%&.
broadsword Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 What was that rumour doing the rounds that Desai would only bin Kean if we were cut adrift? Anyone remember that? Something about she wasn't worried because we were still in contact with the rest of the pack? The question now has to be, how many points adrift do we have to be before they do something? And a subsidiary question would be, now that they have realized how a lot of fans feel, are they going to stop this farce of Kean going out to India and visit the club more often? We're in a shocking mess because they're just not in touch with what's going on, and it appears now that they have a better idea, they're still incapable of making a decision.
Mattyblue Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Face facts folks, Kean's position has long been untenable, yet he still seems unsackable. Something really stinks at this football club.
chromesub Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 My contact at Venky's doesn't believe that Kean will be sacked, the owners have not said anything about sacking Kean. Oh dear, can only hope this is a precursor for the bigger news that Venkys will sell up and leave
Clitherover Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Anyone would think that they wanted us to get relegated.
Mercer Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 If Kean is not being replaced then I find the decision simply staggering. Can you imagine the walk that Kean faces at Stoke, should we lose, on Saturday towards the tunnel where Rovers' fans will be housed. Add to that the live Sky coverage which will be beamed world wide. IMO, his position is untenable and he's destroying our club, I am amazed that Venky's do not understand this, especially after what was witnessed at Wigan.
Lurid Coat Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 T4E posts an excellent post summing up the view of the majority of Rovers fans. Everybody is praying for Venky's to finally do something rational and sack the worst manager ever. People get their hopes up. People start dreaming about a Rovers without the deluded, lying git: What a hugely pivotal moment we are at in our season right now. But then, just minutes later, our hopes are crushed: My contact at Venky's doesn't believe that Kean will be sacked, the owners have not said anything about sacking Kean. From memory he has only ever been wrong once (he said Rovers weren't after Raul, when we were). So at this moment I would say that Kean not getting sacked. Welcome to life under Venky's, the worst football club owners in the history of mankind.

Apparently 9 points adrift is the magical figure.
