Kingstonians Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Steve Kean is often quoted as saying "we'll take the positives from the first half" or "although we lost to a late penalty we can take the postives from the performance" and so on ad nauseam. My question is -what does he do with all these 'positives' that he keeps taking? Surely the vast number of positives he has accumulated should by now have translated into points. Taking positives out of a game is utterly meaningless unless there is actually learning which can progress into real results. He cannot point to any positives which have then led to a satisfactory outcome the second time around- at least in my opinion. '"Clueless and full of bullshit" should be his epitaph.
chaddyrovers Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 guys ... heard rumour ... Didier Deschamps is being approached .... anyone heard same ?? where have you heard this rumour from? good source?
Billy Castell Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Just a note of warning, Shteve McClaren is currently talking to the Forest board after what I think was another loss (haven't checked the score). If he became a free agent, I can see the chicken overlords making contacts. As for Dechamps, I'd take him, either as a manager or a player!!
miqaayil Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 where have you heard this rumour from? good source? can't verify source ... thats why checking here .... any one heard ??
BigAlan Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 I was told by Glen Mullan yesterday that Venky's were in talks with Martin O'neill, which is why they weren't at the game.

Stuart Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 I was told by Glen Mullan yesterday that Venky's were in talks with Martin O'neill, which is why they weren't at the game. Hope he didn't tell you in confidence!
BigAlan Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Hope he didn't tell you in confidence! Haha I doubt in front of a good load of people is in confidence bud. I'm certainly not one for spreading bullish*t around
tony gale's mic Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 glen9mullanglen mullan @ @garym161 Massive rumour yesterday, that this was the case, with Kean taking academy duties in India If this is true this would be massive. However it directly contradicts what Kamy has told us, it sounds too much like good sense to be anything of Venkys doing and I'd be very surprised if he wanted the job. Always found O Neill a bit overrated but he's still a good manager who I'd back to lift us out of the mess we're in, I'd be very happy but not holding my breath.
Andy Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 An underperforming O'Neill would be several shades better than Kean's best day as Rovers manager. Get it done, Venky's.
broadsword Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Best bit about that would be Kean shunted out to India. 6,500 miles is far enough away for. Would prefer further.
tony gale's mic Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Best bit about that would be Kean shunted out to India. 6,500 miles is far enough away for. Would prefer further. £200,000 and we could get Virgin Galactic to drop him off in space
Stuart Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 MON would be beyond our wildest dreams at this point. I'll believe it when he's holding up his Rovers shirt, Akon-style next to a grinning Belaji Rao. Which I somehow can't picture...
Chorleyblue2 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Sack the clown now. MON would be great, my vote would be for Glen Hoddle .... This is my view not a rumour.
John Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Martin O'Neill or any normal manager working with the Venkys, just can't see it! Happy to pay for Kean's one way flight ticket to India.
whalleyrover Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 A colleague of mine was told last Tuesday that John Jensen was to be sacked, Kean was to manage the Academy in India, and Martin o'Neil was to be appointed manager! Itook it to be a rumour, but with Jensen subsequently sacked who knows.
BuckyRover Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Please god. Let's hope he doesn't see Forest as the more attractive option.
chris Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Martin O'Neill or any normal manager working with the Venkys, just can't see it! Happy to pay for Kean's one way flight ticket to India. You are paying for it lol And the return

Let me think about that for a milli second !
