It's the same as saying "he could get laid in a Brothel."

If he's eating like a pig he's not likely to keep a napkin clean, is he?

In proper table manners, napkins aren't supposed to get filthy.

See what you made me do?

I challenge even the most delicate eater not to need to have a wipe around their mouth when devouring a Sushi Del Oriente.

robbo gets a lot of unfair stick from blackburn fans. Hes been a great servant and great proffesional. Hes been decent and never thrown his toys out the pram no matter what. Obviously I think Friedel is better and he is a legend but ppl need to stop comparing the 2 as Friedel will win hands down but also stop killing robbo who in my opinion has been a great servant for this club

I really like Robbo, he seems like a great guy and even his agent's comments today were very dignified and complimentary to the club.

However, we bought him as his career was on the slide and unfortunately it's just continued in that pattern, he's not even one of the best Championship keepers now. Rovers have specialised in revitalising careers over recent years but Robbo isn't someone we've been able to resurrect.

If we can get Friedel in January and move on Robbo on then we have to do. Friedel is still one of the top keepers in the PL.

I agree with you there, that would be a good deal for all concerned.

Brad has just updated his twitter to say there has been a lot of speculation about his future but all will be revealed in the next few days. Makes me think he is leaving spurs otherwise surely he'd just come out and say he was staying.

He would be daft not to if it's on the table, Tom.

If he were to come to Rovers under our circumstances, not least financially, I'd be very surprised and it would suggest a very strong friendship with Berg.

I agree that it points to him staying on at Spurs.

The role on offer at Rovers included coaching ( not goalkeeping coach according to Andy Cryer ).

With Berg's position becoming less secure, maybe the offer from Rovers is no longer on the table, and, even if it was, not a great time to rejoin.

To me the tweet seems too be aimed towards spurs fans and ends with a smiley face, If he was to make that comment then announce he's leaving to join us would be a little odd, id say Neo's theory in regard to him taking a coaching role at spurs is more likely.

still seems pointless in robinson leaving to bring in a 41 year old, as good as brad has been, for me in the top 5 keepers in premiership history, say brad has another year left in him, we let a guy in his early 30s go to bring brad in then we would have to go out and replace him again in a year or so's time.

Replace him with Jake Kean presumably, who is a good young goalkeeper. It's not like we would need to go out into the transfer window and buy another goalkeeper

Ultimately replacing Robbo and Bunn by Kean and Sandomierski smacks of the kind of cost cutting that got us relegated.

What a shame Venkys appear to think that we can by for pennies, sell for millions - and be successful.

Just goes to show how stupid they were to alienate the bloke who could do this better than anyone in Williams.

And they'll never learn...

No cost cutting in signing Etuhu and Murphy was there?
Odd post.

I could have sworn we signed those two puddings AFTER relegation.

We'll probably do the same thing this year: slash the wage bill in January and get rid of the players who might keep us up!

Was old man Venky born in Brierfield?

I'm not against dropping Robbo as in my opinion he's been poor. Now either Berg has seen enough of Kean to think he's ready to take over at number 1 or he pinned all his hopes on Friedel signing.

Recently we have seen young keepers make the breakthrough at other clubs but is Kean up to it? Only time will tell.

Although he was never going to come back to Rovers, I can't help but feel slightly wounded by Brad's gleeful tweet prior to this announcement.

I guess he now has a duty to Spurs fans but, given his affinity with Rovers and the fact that he must have been aware of the speculation - and therefore the hopes of our fans, I wish he'd have just kept quiet about it.

That knife buried deep into our side, that keeps being twisted every day by new and more embarrassing events just got a little tap by a large, gloved finger.

:(

But then I am prone to mild bouts of mellodrama.

I don't expect anything from Friedel anymore, Stuart. The day he left us to join Villa for a huge wedge of cash was the day I surrendered for good all hope that sentimentality and loyalty amount to anything in football. Never again would I make a presumption that a player wouldn't leave us. I hold no malice towards Friedel for his move, but it proved to me categorically that self service was the number one priority for any footballer. I used to think that if anybody, Friedel could be relied upon to want to stay here, but it just wasn't so. Good luck to him at Spurs, I see the appeal in trying to remain a Premier League keeper for so long.

Do salgado and nelsen not count in your reckoning? Salgado especially, who seems to truly love rovers despite having played a decade at one of footballs biggest clubs and one of the best teams ever seen.
