sharpysharps Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Burnley deserved it, sad to say. 1st half was pleasing and I suppose if Rhodes puts that chance in early on 2nd half then we get something from the game. Lame defending for both goals, feel for the lad Keane I thought he did ok being thrown in at the deep end. Not sure what to make of this going forward other than we won't be playing those lot next season. Also don't think Bowyer will get sacked. Pretty sure Appleton wouldn't have got sacked last season after the game if Shebby hadn't been around. Season more or less over not really sure there would be much point in change manager.
roverandout Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 no game plan, just hoof the ball up all game, burnley tried to keep the ball but their tactics weren't that much better but deserved the win, bowyer is out of his depth, no doubt chaddy will put a positive spin on things

Nate Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 They were stronger, faster and hungrier than us. Why he took Dunn off and replaced him with Feeney is beyond me. Two bad losses to local rivals. Me no likey.
Hekla Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Somebody mentioned before the game that Bowyer will lose the fans if we lost today, well it's true.
OJRovers Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Don't know what the big fuss was about burnleys midfield they were just as bad as us, but their players have belief, unfortunately bowyer hasn't got our team believing they can compete.
GanG2245 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 substituting dunn made all the difference. it was all going well till that
Backroom Tom Posted March 9, 2014 Backroom Posted March 9, 2014 Before I go into more detail lets get one thing straight We weren't unlucky
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 It's been coming since the day " the Chicken Chokers " strutted in. They'll kill the club before they've done.
Roverall Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 A thoroughly deserved win for Burnley. You could tell from the minute the second half kicked off that one team was going to go for it, and it wasn't us. One moment of Rhodes magic aside, and some good work from Dunn, and that was Rovers 2014. Limp, uncoordinated and uninspired. The team is light years away from being PL competitive quality. Bowyer's cautious tactics haven't helped, but in all the anger let's not forget that he kept us up last year. We all know where the real blame lies. Where the hell do we go from here? We're stuck in this awful Venky's nightmare and there are no signs it's going to stop.
Nayef Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 It's past midnight here. Tuned in to see if Rovers held onto the 1-0 score. Oh my God. Thank you Venky's. I pray that you and your family come to an early demise.
yoda Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 It's been coming since the day " the Chicken Chokers " strutted in. They'll kill the club before they've done. They have already done that, We need to start again
Neal Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 People finally going to come round to the fact that Bowyer is not the man for the job?
Guest Wen Y Hu Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Very poor show indeed from Rovers. Utter and complete dross in the second half and a rubbish game of football. Feelings will be running high, but keep your language in check, please.
Bundesburn Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Season over for me. World Cup to look forward to, but we'll probably drop the rest of the way to mid-table obscurity. Really thought we could do it. Such a let down.
philipl Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I was there 35 years ago the last time this happened. The evil scum that are Venky's and that arsehole agent who set them up have brought yet another horrible day into the lives of Blackburn Rovers.
perthblue02 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Dunn was knackered you could tell from his last few touches before being substituted, would have been an ideal time to bring Gestede on, considering our odd attack in the second half consisted of hoofing it or throwing it in the box . Would have also given Burnley something to worry about

AllRoverAsia Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Sad to say but Robbo was back to being a vampire - shambles by him and Hanley for the winner. Henley is pants. Bowyer a class act when it comes to screwing things up when we were doing ok and Burnley not really creating apart from when helped by Lowe and Conway.
broadsword Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 The feeney sub was utterly baffling. In fact, why did we sign him? I could see it coming a mile off. They need to bin bowyer and malky mackay would be a good replacement. But of course that will never happen. Even of they binned him they react far too slowly and eventually hire someone totally unsuitable. Until venkys go we'll just keep on shooting ourselves in the foot. Well played Burnley, you deserved it
