The question was why was Eatham playing for the U21s last night, and was it because micalski was going with the first team, but feel free to but in at any time.

Sounds like Gilsenan got another 2 goals tonight (in a 6-2 defeat). Must be pushing for inclusion in the first team squad soon - in great form.

For the first team, Gilseanan will be behind the multitude of No10s that we have.

Anyone know if Villa are particularly good? Or is that a really disappointing result?

O'Riordan was playing at the back today as well.

Disappointing result. But that is going to happen when they play at the same time as the first team, who name nine subs

I'll say it again for you.

Michalski is now considered number three goalkeeper and was with the first team. Had both games not been on the same night Michalski would have played for the under 21's.

It's not difficult to understand.

So the first team took three keepers.

Great work helping create that too. But the Livingston defending was beyond horrendous. 5 against 3 (4 v 2 in the central areas really) and they let him stay essentially unmarked for nearly 5 seconds.

Vale has got to be one of the biggest disappointments in years, really thought we might be onto something when hw was scoring regularly for the reserves. He never really did much for the first team or even on loans spells though elsewhere.

A goal scorer that comes through the academy would be that extra bit special but it never seems to happen.

Every time Gilsenan isn't included for the first team you see countless comments on social media asking why, from people who've barely seen him play. I haven't seen much of him either but something can't be quite right if he's constantly overlooked surely?

Gilsenans main problem is that his best position is where Szmodic plays, and Smodic is not going to be dropped for Gilsenan.

What kind of transfer fees to Motherwell usually pay? 👀

Frees and loans, but could probably get a very high sell on 😉

They last paid a transfer fee in the 17/18 season according to this.  $12K for a goalkeeper from Hartlepool

If Vale has upped his work rate, and comments from Motherwell fans on their forum seem to indicate that he has, then he may be seen as a genuine (and cheap) back up for Gally

Putting yourself about a bit can work wonders for your game. Look at Sammi, and David Speedie back in the day. They have/had ability but if they’d have just stood about waiting for somebody else to set them up they’d have been only half the player they are/were.
