Speedie Dived Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Holy mackerel!!! Ive only just read the new currently in a happyshock Jokanovic, lambert or moyes are the obvious preferences, but really i just hope they get it right and hire a legit manager, im not expecting miracles from whoever comes in just want somebody that knows what hes doing and we can all get behind. But a decent manager would have got last seasons(and maybe the season befores) squad seriously challanging for tge play offs at least, bowyer wasnt even capable of that. He was goal difference off making the playoffs in is first year in management.

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted November 10, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted November 10, 2015 Backwards from a relegation fight to 2 top ten finishes and a complete overhaul of the squad so that the overpaid prima donnas and Portugeezers have been vanquished and replaced by players more suited to the Championship? Yep, it's defo him that's the numb nuts. Stay classy PB We finished 8th, 9th and now we're bottom 8. The very definition of backwards isn't it?
Speedie Dived Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Anything possible i this league. 3 or 4 back to back wins and you would find yourself 4 - 5 points outside the play offs. All about belief and momentum. And you need quality players to achieve that. We are about to find out anyway, a new manager will surely get us close to the playoffs then?
chaddyrovers Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 When Chaddy turns his back on a manager, you know something's terribly wrong. Exactly. I just got angry and annoyed by his tactics in the 2 games. Both teams were there for the taking and we settled for the point. I want us to attacking teams and score goals. Plus a manager that will unite the fans, plus play the academy players who are good enough for the first team
Gav Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 So what you're all saying is a better manager 'would have a good go' Lordy Lordy.....
Stuart Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Exactly. I just got angry and annoyed by his tactics in the 2 games. Both teams were there for the taking and we settled for the point. I want us to attacking teams and score goals. Finally something we agree on.
perthblue02 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Interesting little thing appeared on twitter After playing Brentford, Rovers, QPR and Charlton all sack their managers, and three consecutive clubs before playing Preston, Rovers, Fulham and QPR do the same
Speedie Dived Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 So what you're all saying is a better manager 'would have a good go' Lordy Lordy..... It's really easy isn't it? Sometimes people forget that there is another team playing against you. I predict that we are in the same place in 9/12 months with people saying ' X popular manager at the time could get this shower of sh1t up'
tomphil Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Always bit wary on journos putting forward one manager (Lambert) and increasing the price of another to get it. There is zero value now in Lambert getting it, however if someone comes from nowhere over the next few days then someone will make some brass. Well they usually appoint 33-1 outsiders so that's another worry, no guesses who was making brass on those
Pedro Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 You'll be glad to know I can and will shut my bleeting. Very nervous to who will be employed next, if it is finally a sensible one I hope people come back to Ewood. We need support and an atmosphere almost as much as an experienced setup. Thanks for your early work Bowyer, you settled the madness etc. but personally I would have cut you free 12 months ago.

Glosrover Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Would pray for Moyes but it's unlikely, Lambert then hopefully. Please Lord not Dunny or Sherwood. I wonder if Nixon's golden boy is in work yet?, no-one mentioned Owen Coyle yet?.

I predict that we are in the same place in 9/12 months with people saying ' X popular manager at the time could get this shower of sh1t up' Perhaps we won't be immediately successful. However, we have a much greater chance of success when under the stewardship of some of the managers mentioned as opposed to Bowyer. Next appointment is pivotal.
Speedie Dived Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Dude, you backed the wrong horse. Get over it. I backed the manager of Blackburn Rovers and apart from one, i would back them all.

bob fleming Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Well that's that then. It was time. We played fantastically against Ipswich - worthy winners. The team showed what it's capable of. It's just that we have to wait 5-6 games for that sort of performance to come round again. The players have to shoulder some responsility for a lack of consistency but there have long been doubts on how the team is fired up along with tactics. I wish him all the best. He did stabilise the club amid much lunacy. I'd be happier if Shaw was nowhere near the place, wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him, which is admittedly not very far but I'd give it a right good go. Lambert makes a lot of sense. Moyes and Irvine would be unbelievable. But as we know, ANYTHING could happen.
Amo Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I backed the manager of Blackburn Rovers and apart from one, i would back them all. Venky's realized he was out of his depth before you did. I'll just leave it at that.
Speedie Dived Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Well they usually appoint 33-1 outsiders so that's another worry, no guesses who was making brass on those Berg and Appleton were not even in the running. Couldn't possibly know what you mean ;-)
T J Hooker Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 He was goal difference off making the playoffs in is first year in management. but realistically we never really looked like contenders and most importantly though he didn't build on it on it the following season, we regressed if anything and that's when he should really have been replaced.
Speedie Dived Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Venky's realized he was out of his depth before you did. I'll just leave it at that. And when will they realise they are out of their depths? That's the point, not Bowyer.
Blue blood Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 As a manager I'm not sorry to see him go. Well out of his depth and never ever going to get us promoted. Perhaps has blew the best two chances we had of that success too. As a person - I'll be honest am still not sorry to see him go. His constant post match "analysis" aimed at Pune rather than reality, always talking about the zillion percent profit made on players, and lowest of all his attacks on the fans; saying they'll get back under a rock being the lowest point but not exclusive, all mean I'm glad to see the back of him. Better late then never, and whilst earlier would have been ideal (at least half a year ago imo) then at least it's not too late. There are still some good managers out there AND enough of the season to salvage something.
