How did Rovers miss someone like Duncan Watmore or Vardy.

Vardy?!? I guess there are 19 other Premier League teams asking the same question.

Legend has it that we were well aware of him but someone misheard his name and we signed Varney.

at the time if we'd talked of buying players from clitheroe or Fleetwood there would have have been uproar. As it turns out they've been successful but they could have been mega flops.

I don't think we can underestimate Lambert's influence on our 2 young centre backs. They will absolutely listen to him.

He's a Scotsman who won the CL (appeals to Hanley) and was a Celtic captain (appeals to Duffy).

Sticks in the throat more when we decided to buy Leon Best for 3m on ludicrous wages, when we could've bought Vardy for 1m and about 6 grand a week.

You have some very fuzzy logic JAL. I'm fairly sure you're just about the biggest wind up merchant on here. Except you don't really get under people's skin. Because more often than not your posts are so far out of left field they just make people laugh or maybe roll their eyes.

They have to be better than this league thats BETTER chaddy for second time otherwise how do you stand a chance of promotion or winning ?

Henry had 5 mins to turn one point into three from Tonyoz report I wasn't there it's sounds like he nearly turned one point into none with his brief performance.

What's going on ?

Hanley is in the Scotland national squad and Duffy was on the bench for Ireland in their last game. so our centre backs must be good then?

Plus you need to remember we have transfer embargo and we haven't spend much money in the last 2/3 seasons

Don't know really JAL, other than the transfer window being shut and the transfer embargo we're under I can't think of a single reason why Lambert hasn't replaced the entire first team squad with Man City players.

Most clubs would be thinking that

BUT we do have Jordan Rhodes in our squad who is a proven goalscorer and the best finisher in this league

Lamberts right when he says he's a handful and has a good touch. He was never as bad as people made out, he just isn't a goalscorer.

His mobility is poor but he could be an option to Rhodes when we are desperately defending a lead (as in the last two games) to hold the ball up using his strength and bulk. To play him in a two up front from the start of a game would be pointless in my opinion.

The proof of the pudding as far as rating him will be if Lambert offers him a new deal for next season

If he can get a tune out of that lummox then we really have hit the jackpot.

I doubt we'll see much from him. The article read like answers to specific questions about Brown /platitudes.
