I remember everyone being thoroughly depressed that deadline day. Kean had created such a depression and most people thought Yakubu was in his fifties.

Deals can take place after the deadline if a deal has been agreed in principle and the main points of the deal have been lodged before the deadline, can't they?

Wouldn't it be an option to have someone from the club travel over, earlier in the week? The player wouldn't need to psychically be at Ewood to sign would he? Though if we can't get fax machines working, then scanning and emailing might just be a bit too much to expect.

Problem is, that we seemed to have had to wait on the Rhodes sale. The fact that the Rhodes deal has not been completed yet, and we havent signed anybody says it all. I know we brought in 4 players, but we have also lost 3 players(Rhodes 1 of them)

Only if we have their registration papers/transfer documents sent off, they can then sign the contract afterwards.

Bentley took a long time to find his feet as did Olsson.

Pretty sure that was us making it permanent, he celebrated it with a hat-trick against Man Utd. I also enjoyed Bellamy and Pongolle briefly.

Maybe a replacement for Brown or Koita but not Rhodes.

Well it should not be a boring deadline day for us. I'm sure Rhodes will be off I just can't see any other way. There must be others lined up if it goes through but it is getting dark outside..
