jim mk2 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Lol. Better than a list of club development officers and going for a pint in the last chance saloon. It's clear the knives are out for Lambert from some quarters. I can only assume these folks would be happier to see another novice brought in who will spend the first two years learning how to be a manager. The real reason, of course, is that people who backed Bowyer are desperate to say "I told you so". What a shame they can't back an experienced, proven, successful manager for the good of the club. Bowyer was given a massive chance at Rovers - a gig he would never have got at any other club. The experiment failed and we now need to move forward under a tried and trusted method of bringing in the best available manager and allowing him to work with the squad. Whoosh.

Norbert Rassragr Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Lansbury would be a great little signing. I've always been a fan of his. Getting on a bit, though at least we'd find out exactly what Anderson was up to.
Backroom Tom Posted January 1, 2016 Backroom Posted January 1, 2016 Lambert on Rhodes and what he is targeting transfer wise to create more chance for him http://m.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/14176796.We_need_brains_and_brawn_to_help_Jordan_Rhodes__says_Blackburn_Rovers_boss/ And an ever so well for good measure, can't argue with what he is saying though.

Plenty of support for Rhodes too - at least in public.

chaddyrovers Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 And an ever so well for good measure, can't argue with what he is saying though. Lambert speaks so well and is so knowledge of the game From those comments it looks like Koita's day are numbered (thankfully). Plenty of support for Rhodes too - at least in public. maybe it time to loan Koita out and bring Grant Holt on loan for 6 months Won't suit the tactics you have been saying lambert wants to play Look at the tactics we have played playing. Playing Long balls to Rhodes isnt his game, But if we were to bring in a striker to be the target man type player and Rhodes plays of that. no problems at all BUT Rhodes cant be the target man type cos thats isnt his game. hopefully we can keep Lawrence on loan for the rest of the season. Plus sign a creative centre midfielder and play him with Evans there.
tomphil Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Pathetic Just wait to see the number of pitch forks out tomorrow night if we lose again. Bowyers sacking will be taking on Allardyce proportions before long.
Gav Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Lambert on Rhodes and what he is targeting transfer wise to create more chance for him http://m.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/14176796.We_need_brains_and_brawn_to_help_Jordan_Rhodes__says_Blackburn_Rovers_boss/ Saying what most of us already know, Rhodes is a consummate professional, a credit to the club/shirt, but needs help on the pitch. Lets hope Lambert can provide Jordan with help, because he's our best chance of getting into the Premiership in my opinion. maybe it time to loan Koita out and bring Grant Holt on loan for 6 months Holt has been released early from his loan spell at Wolves because they have no intention of extending it, not sure what to make of that really Chaddy. Just wait to see the number of pitch forks out tomorrow night if we lose again. Bowyers sacking will be taking on Allardyce proportions before long. On here in la la land maybe, back in the real world everyone's behind Lambert. I liked Bowyer, but Lamberts a proper manager with a proper backroom team and thats going to make massive difference in the months to come.
LewisF Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I'd be all over Lansbury, if Marshall goes (which I think he should) then Lansbury takes a mean free kick
jim mk2 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 maybe it time to loan Koita out and bring Grant Holt on loan for 6 months This has to be tongue in cheek ? Holt is 34, has had a knee operation in the recent past that kept him out for 9 months, can't get in Wigan's team and is so "solid" he makes Chris Brown look like a stick man. As a former Norwich player he will be on Lambert's radar though.
T J Hooker Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 So Lambert's contacts book extends only as far as one of his former clubs - not a good sign. most managers usually first look to players they've worked with before and know inside out(id make a list of the players that hughes, souness and allardyce brought in or tried to bring in that they'd worked with prior to taking the reigns here but i cant be arsed ) I'm really surprised that you see this as an issue.
47er Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Unlikely to be the case but even if it were at least it's a Premier League Club and not somewhere in the French Third Division. Happy New Year everyone. Or Portugal!
Neal Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Where's this Lansbury link come from? Doubt we could afford him.
Amo Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Where's this Lansbury link come from? Doubt we could afford him. I think somebody put him on their wishlist and we all got ahead of ourselves.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 This has to be tongue in cheek ? Dunnfc Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 So Lambert's contacts book extends only as far as one of his former clubs - not a good sign. Grabban was signed under the manager prior to Alex Neil and not PL from memory. Saying that though i'd be going for a Johnny Howson.
chaddyrovers Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Blackburn Rovers are close to signing former Man City striker John Guidetti on short term contract This is transfer twitter account. Dont know how true it is
Ricky Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Had bags of potential and scored goals in Holland.
chaddyrovers Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 According to Transfermarkt Guidetti is playing for Vigo in Spain
Ricky Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I think Kean tried to sign him before we got Rhodes as well.
Stuart Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Blackburn Rovers are close to signing former Man City striker John Guidetti on short term contract This is transfer twitter account. Dont know how true it is Who or what is "Transfer Centre 9"?
oldjamfan1 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Guidetti would be a far better bet than the likes of Grant Holt.
chaddyrovers Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Who or what is "Transfer Centre 9"? I dont know. Guess we see how good he is during January transfer window
