Trust me it's the same agent ring... Stocking up on players at a club to hopefully commission against or earn a cut of the profit in Ba's case.

No surprise it's come back with Sacha the budget Slasher back in town and his previous links to SEM/Kentaro.

This mon needs shifting quick before he loads anymore crap onto the books on 2 year contracts like Barnes. A couple of decent loan signings shouldn't be keeping him in a job it's about points.

Brown/Greer/Stokes/Mulgrew just how much has he tied up there for little or no contribution. Given their age/injury records they were always never going to be anything more than part time players.

Terrible.

I know it's the Daily Fail so hardly reliable as a source but if this is true then it's going to be an entertaining January.

There's no way Cheston and Pasha are going to sit by and allow Marshall to walk away for nothing in the summer. They're going to do whatever they can to get him sold in January so they can pocket the £100k or whatever people will pay for him.

Marshall's now in the driving seat and I imagine it would suit him more to sit tight until the summer and then make a decision on his future when he has more time and clubs know what league they are in. Why should he be rushed into making a decision to suit Rovers who couldn't even be bothered to discuss a new contract with him?

Expect to see increased attempts to advertise his availability in the press as Cheston and Pasha get increasingly desperate. It will be entertaining to watch them squirm. It wouldn't surprise me if Coyle was instructed to drop him to the bench to try and encourage Marshall to make for the exit door early.

To the more balanced fans this story has had a certain inevitability about it for some time now. And once again Coyle is guilty of shooting his mouth off in several interviews about Marshalls future.

Most of us are now wise to the fact the club is stringing fans along by offering a false hope that simply isn't there.

It's going to take a lot more than Coyle mouthing off in the Telegraph about it every week to convince me that the club has made Marshall a new contract offer on improved wages.

It appears they didn't even think about discussing a new deal until September. Then Coyle expects me to believe that they've suddenly made him a good offer on more money than he's currently on?

Pull the other one Coyle.

I can't abide being treated like an idiot by people like Coyle and Cheston. This is the same club that has cut in every department and invested next to nothing in the last 2 years, sold everyone of value, shut down stands and the club shop and they really expect people to believe that they're going round offering wage increases to keep players here?

Liars.

Marshall ready to see out contract and leave for free - 14.12.16

The similarities of this to the Hoillett situation in 2010 or whatever it was show us all that this will only end one way. Marshall will walk away for absolutely nothing on July 1st, unless of course Cheston and the owners get their own way and he is flogged for pennies in January.

Looking forward to Coyle's next bullshit around this subject... wonder whether he'll go for the positive spin of 'He could still sign' or whether he'll go along with the puppet masters and explain that 'we couldn't possibly keep Ben at the club and had no choice but to sell.'

Biggest upside for Marshall in terms of waiting six months is an increased signing on/agents fee due to the lack of transfer fee.

I said it earlier in the week, Marshall stands to gain a lot more financially if he stays put.

If he runs his contract down he can claim his two months severance from Rovers for over the summer, he will obviously be a Wolves (or whoever) player whilst he is 'seeking work' but its how the game works, he will then receive a whacking signing on fee from his new club as they've made a saving on transfer fee and his 'licensed rep' stands to earn more as he will be on a better wage having avoided a transfer fee.

Ben Marshall holds absolutely every card, Cheston et al have had an absolute stinker here. I expect they will see their best option as letting him go for nowt in January to make a saving on wages.

Stephen Hendrie just posted on his instagram a picture of him at his last loan club (Doncaster?) with the caption "better times".

Squad harmony is great then.

Just further highlights how much utter bullplop our "manager" talks

I really hate Coyle, pretty much reached K**n levels of hatred.

He will never achieve in football ever again because everyone knows his a @#/?. He has no credibility after what he did at Burnley.
