I hope Bradford and Mark Hughes wins the playoffs in league 2. Still have very fond memories of his time here. We played some of the best football I've seen at Ewood Park under him.

Sheff Weds 2-0 down to P'Boro near half time in the first leg of the L1 playoff semi. It really will be harsh if they finish 3rd on 96 points, then go out in the semis of the playoffs to a team who finished 6th and got 19 points less than them over the course of a season.

It's a genuine one-off season where a team gets 96 points and doesn't even get a top two spot. To then go out in the playoff semis does seem cruel, and not especially fair when the 6th placed team was so much worse than 3rd over the course of a season, which is supposed to be what the team is ultimately judged on.

Still, that's the playoffs for you. Not necessarily a fair system but it is what it is. Sheff Weds still have time to get back into it. Even if they nick a goal and go into the second leg 2-1 down they'll have a good chance of getting through.

I don’t see how you can say it’s harsh when 6th placed Rovers beat 3rd placed Derby in the play off semis. That’s what happens. 😃

Turns out Louie Annesley, who left Blackburn for Dundalk in January and scored in his 3rd game for them, hasn't played since March because he contracted sepsis. He's very lucky to still be alive cos sepsis is a killer.
