Bonkers the amount of potential money we've let walk out of the door. And for what?

Only chance we have now, unless he's off to Spain in the summer, is a desperate Prem club like Everton or West Ham hitting the panic button and giving us £5+ and tempting him into the prem with silly money.

We invested so much money and time into him, the aim was always to make a profit on what we paid for him, surely? And yet we just let him walk for nothing but still complain about the restrictions FFP put on us 🤷🏻‍♂️

Whatever you do, if you receive a free ticket from the club, inviting you to a party at the brewery, shred it and pop it in the bin.

Looks like a bid has been submitted for Ryan Porteous.

Doesn't seem like we need him just yet, as others have said - but he's no doubt being brought in to replace Ayala, and coming in early should have him ripe and ready for next season.

This will be a big saving on wages, a quality bit of business considering he'll cost us ~£500k.

Replacing a player before he's gone, love to see it! Now we just need to try and do the same with Diaz...

Hope it gets over the line. What about a similar cheeky move for Teemu Pukki who is also out of contract? 32 now but could still do a job for us

He could do okay here, but I doubt we'd go for someone like him... he'd want way higher wages than we could offer too.

We need someone younger and faster with resale potential - problem is, attackers of that ilk cost a good few quid to begin with - like Brereton.

Let's hope this rumoured 'war chest for marquee signings' is actually a real thing. If not, I guess we'll have to pray that Harry Leonard can hit the ground running.

I think the war chest is a myth unfortunately. Need some experience in the side imo. Pukki would be ideal for a year or two, especially in the championship which is unfortunately where I think we will be for another year at least. Don't think he'd be on mega money at Norwich and a new manager there might want to change things about a bit

Good bit of forward planning tbf, if he's a good player that it is.

Don't think Carter will make the step up, so getting him and Ayala off the books leaves us a bit short.

Carter is too reckless but has a lot of raw attributes. Might become a player down the line.

Jdt is the antithesis of Mowbray.  Mowbray buys attacker after attacker but neglects the defence.  Jdt buys loads of defensive players but neglects attack

The funniest part. Mowbray was a defender.  Jdt was a striker

JDT's style is to play out from the back, so we need better ball playing defenders.

A report referring to us as “the riversiders” I’ll take as a pinch of salt 😁

Surely this derives from them just looking us up on Wikipedia, which gives it as our (only) nickname. I have never heard us go by anything other than 'Rovers', or indeed sometimes just 'Blackburn' to non-natives.
