I saw nothing other than a sideways and backwards passing new gen footballer, offered nothing. Yeah they can all - run a lot, pass it 20 yards, tackle a bit, head the ball a bit, etc. Can the they beat an opponent with the ball at their feet ? Can they be a “. difference maker “ like Berkovic or Bohinen or Warhurst ? All that is coached out of them before they’re 15. 1 Quote

bazza Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I watched the Palace/ Chelsea game for the last 15 minutes or so. I deliberately watched Adam. He trotted around the pitch for 15 minutes. He touched the ball once into touch. Later he got the ball and played a good cross field pass. And that was it.......all in 15 minutes of play. If I were a scout that wouldn't have impressed me. roverandout Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) The first 75 minute he was controlling midfield. He had one brilliant passage of play where he went passed two players. Played a one two then put in a brilliant ball which mateta should have scored Edited 12 hours ago by roverandout 2 Quote
Mattyblue Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Good job scouts don’t turn up for the last fifteen minutes. 2 Quote

The snapshot you saw was when Chelsea were going all out for the win and were pinning Palace back. Even then Adam was diligent in his defensive responsibilities by tracking runners and closing down players. 2 Quote

It’s his eye for a pass and his ability to regularly deliver the pass at exactly the right pace, place and time that sets him apart from any other midfield player playing in the Prem at the moment. What’s he got you can’t teach players. 4 Quote

Backroom Mike E Posted 3 minutes ago Backroom Posted 3 minutes ago Wharton has potential to surpass that class of Modeic/Scholes/Tugay if he can stay injury free. I so hope he goes to Madrid. Quote
