So how does venkys reign end then? Or does it not end?

It doesn't end, at least for the foreseeable.

Depending what happens with Brittain, Travis, Tronstad etc we might have one more competitive year at this level.

After that I imagine we'll go down and have stability in the 3rd tier for a few years, without ever finishing in the top 6, then by the time we're into the 2030's we'll be looking at the bottom end of the 3rd tier or possibly even be in the 4th tier.

All while the court case still rumbles on, fanbase dwindles even more, and folk asking "what do they get out of this?".

They get something out of it or they wouldn't still be here !

Schadenfreude at the plight of the snowball-throwing fans?

Burying the dirty cash bodies?

Blackburn who? Ie can't remember owning a club

Plain fucking stupidity, inner because they don't know what to do next, who to trust.

If we're really faced with a slow death, then what is the point any more?

It might not even be slow. Back to back relegations and we're completely done for

Now showing on the list for today…as the 99th case.

The never ending story continues. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

So the case isn't getting seen by the judge then?

So do we now have 2 rovers related cases running in the courts? Or did we just cross someone’s palm with silver to get the other one heard quickly?

The initial case is still ongoing with the next date being in August.

The case heard the other day is an appeal related to the above with the sole intent of trying to remove the guarantee requirement.

This appears to have been treated as a new matter hence why it was such an early hearing last week  - it now seems we’re back to the infinite purgatory (now x 2) of being too far down the list to ever be heard.

edited to add:

I presume they lodged the appeal so they could be heard earlier than August (I wonder why 🤨) but it doesn’t look like this ‘tactic’ is going to work.

Great.

I hope the money runs out soon then. Bring on administration, it can't come soon enough.

Why do they even have such a long list? They must only get through about 5 cases.

It's a crying shame that after 15 years this appears to be the only way we'll be able to wrest this club from the cold, dead hands of the Venkys and that fans are begging for it.

The latest order from the hearing on Monday has been posted.

The TLDR (but I may be wrong):

Venky's want to send £4.9m to the club. It looks like Suhail sent a letter in March requesting this amount to cover contract and statutory obligations from April-June 2025.

The court is allowing partial relief (50% bank guarantee instead of 100%) to facilitate urgent financial support, but keeping in mind the active investigation and national foreign exchange regulations.

ED has filed a complaint with the 'Adjudication Authority'. The court will consider whether to remove need for bank guarantees at a future date. Next listed for 5 August 2025.

Thanks for posting this. We look in serious danger of running out of money.

For those interested, I have posted a snapshot below and invite comments as to who does and who doesn’t consider this to be an impediment to funding, legal or otherwise.

I'd agree with that analysis.

So it would appear (I may be wrong) that unless we receive the £4.9m before the end of June, we may be struggling to pay the milkman. Amongst others.

That's the obvious conclusion; they'll have to keep selling assets to stay afloat.

It really is a hand-to-mouth existance now, which will just keep on happening unless something fundamental changes.

What does the 2nd part of the order say?

The bit reproduced above keeps referring back to an order made in June 23?

It’s referring back to when an amount of just over £3.5m was allowed to be sent, but only with a bank guarantee and a no objection certificate (Two impediments).

Whats more in interesting now is its now being stated that the club is not under a cloud of suspicion YET (see section 12 below) but also that the ED are against any funds being transferred.

In my opinion the earliest they may now be able to send any will be after the hearing on 03/08/25 and I think we are very close to the edge.
