Ashamed of the club

I have been for years. I rarely tell people I’ve just met that I support Rovers. I only hang around because of my grandson. He’s 18 and really keen. He’ll still be here when the Chicken Chokers are history so I don’t want him to lose hope like I have.

Once fans go they very rarely come back.

That's quite funny, to be fair.

They're utter snakes. They're also not going to be able to field a team.

To be fair that’s a poor post. 20 people losing their jobs isn’t funny at all

Are Rovers the only business to declare a redundancy situation?

They TURNED DOWN an offer of outside money to run the women's team these people WOULDN'T be redundant if they'd taken that on board.

They've relegated their own women's team into the 4th tier pull your head out your a##.

To not understand what is happening here requires one's head to be firmly in arse.

BBC Lancs are reporting that the Women will play there home games at Clitheroe next season.

Clitheroe FC have confirmed this on their Facebook, too.

If anyone ever goes to Shawbridge, check the slant from the right hand side to the left hand side at the bottom end of the pitch.

It's quite something!

Lovely little ground is Shawbridge. Club house is decent too from my hazy memory of proceedings 😁

Unless I am misremembering, is that four homes in four years for Rovers Women now? Bamber Bridge, Lancs FA, Ewood and now Clitheroe?

Rovers’ Head of Women’s Football, Nick Birchall, said: “We are delighted to be able to announce a new ground share agreement with Clitheroe FC for the 25/26 season. As we embark on a new chapter for the Blackburn Rovers Women’s Club, the club were keen to ensure that we continue to play as close as possible to the Blackburn area, whilst ensuring we meet the ground criteria for the Women’s National League. The location and facilities at Clitheroe FC will provide a fantastic experience for fans of Women’s football and the capacity of the ground allows for continued growth of the game in the coming years’

Well, that’s one way of putting it.
