My view of what? The court case deals with a very specific issue that has nothing to do with Rovers.

Indirectly it's all to do with Rovers i.e the funding set up from India to the UK for the (sole) purpose of financing the football club.

The VH group is under investigation for specific issues that went array connected to putting money into the UK company that owns the club.

Whilst the club itself isn't under investigation its ultimate parent company and financial provider is therefore everything it inter connected one way or another.

Lets not go all Steve Waggot and pretend it isn't and personally i'm pretty convinced if the Indian authorities could crawl all over Rovers books and every transaction between VLL and BRFC they would.

Not saying they'd find anything other than a few more cock ups but i'm not totally convinced either and i doubt they are but they've obviously nothing to go to date that we know about.

If you want to get involved in working for Suhail - apply via executives in sport - ceo@eisg.com

CEO Opportunity | North West Football Club

The football, commercial and finance departments are performing to high standards and are covered - this role requires a calm capable leader to take ownership of stadium operations, HR, IT and associated support functions along with day to day internal management.

CEO Opportunity | North West Football Club

We're supporting a significant football club in the North West to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer.

It's quite a specific brief and is heavily focussed on operations.

The football, commercial and finance departments are performing to high standards and are covered - this role requires a calm capable leader to take ownership of stadium operations, HR, IT and associated support functions along with day to day internal management.

You'll lead non-football operations across matchdays, facilities, and staffing and help build and maintain a values-led culture across departments.

Some of the key criteria in order to be considered:

  • Worked in a sports stadia environment with direct personal responsibility for stadium operations
  • Strong working knowledge of Green Guide
  • Low ego, high work ethic

Not really a CEO gig if Gestede has complete control over Football and Suhail has control on Finances and Commercial. More of an operations manager position.

Low ego = will do whatever Suhail tells you to do.

Are their any unseen clues or information not mentioned on here that give more insight into what could really be going on within these cases?

I don't know about unseen clues, but there are plenty in the public domain.

As already mentioned, a Government body, does not seize property for no reason and is unlikely to prevent them from funding their overseas company, without some assurances, for no valid reason.

I am sure it will eventually come out, but as we have seen time after time, the owners, seem to want the fans to believe that they are honourable people and are in this for valid reasons.

I would love to know what those reasons are though.

Is it just me or does that description sound more like a COO’s responsibilities?

Indeed. A CEO should ultimately be accountable for all aspects of the business.

As TomPhil says, it's a box tick/patsy.

It’s beyond obvious Suhail is in charge, what makes them so reluctant to make this official? 🤔🤨

They are sneaky, snide bastards with no forward thinking or ambition.

Absolutely boggles the mind why you want to continue owning a football club but then leave the running of it to someone who'll only ever make decisions which are detrimental to the club.

They clearly aren't here for the love of BRFCS, so why the fuck are they still here?

I thought this was a joke (nice one🤣), but no, it’s real 😫

Must say it’s quite tempting to post a comment to this on LinkedIn… will I be reported and excluded from LinkedIn if I post a comment asking if this isn’t really more of a COO role?

How can this ever be called a CEO position, btw? Only reason I can think of is the fact that the position that fits the description - COO - is already taken🙈

Good find Halo.

If anyone ever wondered what corporate bullsh!t looks like, just read that load of utter garbage. Bullsh!t of the highest order in its full glory.

They forgot to mention that the applicant will have to have knowledge of power washers, as the stadium needs a good old clean from top to bottom.

So Suhail gets more power and Gestede will essentially be taking over without the PR of having to announce it.

Joke club.

Until the owners go, everything else is small fry.

I remain convinced that even though they aren't looking for a CEO (they are looking for a public face and a box-ticker) they still won't even be able to get that over the line and instead will muddle on with Pasha-Sufi-Gestede-Talbot basically managing between them, and a charade that they are actively seeking a CEO. They will only actually get one if the heat on Venkys and Pasha gets too high or if that gang can't cope with the demands of the job between them.

Truly frightening stuff considering where this club has been and should be. I wouldn't trust any one of them to run a bath.

I keep on saying it but this is a club in complete and utter crisis, once again imposed by unfit wretched owners, and the only thing covering for that up to press has been the remnants of a solid squad and good management from JDT and Eustace.

The party is inevitably going to come to a shuddering and horrific end, that is an inevitable consequence of choices made by these owners and their minions. Unfortunately too many supporters are deluded that because results have kept on coming things are fine, or because the local media won't report on the very serious issues in India (because they can't be arsed and don't understand it) people can just ignore it and pretend these owners are necessary to our future.

A ridiculous opinion in my view but hey ho I think they call it stockholm syndrome.

Bring it on I say. Appoint a complete buffoon as CEO or even better let the stooges already in place pick up the slack. All it will do is bring the shambles into clearer focus and wake a few up.

That ad is seriously depressing. Any CEO with any self respect would laugh at that ad.

CEO of a club but don't worry about football, finances or commercial because the three stooges have that covered. Embarrassing.

A lack of self respect is essential for working for venkys.

True.

The ad shows that far from Suhail being close to the exit, he's consolidating power - shaped the requirements for the next CEO and blatantly stated that the job is CEO in name only.

The fact that it says don't worry about finance (Suhail), football (Rudy) or commercial (Yasir) says it all. An absolute shambles and pressure needs to be ramped up.

strip away that corporate ******* and the add could read, don`t worry about any of the football or finance stuff,we really want someone as a figurehead who can take the blame for everything

must be experienced in dealing with idiots, incompetents, fantastists and invisible owners

So as we suspected a CEO in name only to stick front of house, tick a box, gag, then serve up as a sacrifice when the next major cock up arrives.

They split the club into 3. They want CEO to run the Administration side of the club, Pasha to run the commercial side of the club and Gestede to run the football operations side of the club.
