They'll be expecting a bumper crowd of people to turn up for the 'special' occasion, probably stick some Rovers 'legends' on the pitch before the game, wear a special shirt. This will all make them look and feel legitimate. I agree the best, probably only way, for supporters to send a message to them and the watching people on Sky, is to not turn up for it. I also appreciate that is everyone's own choice and might not be acceptable to some. So ultimately we will get a half-way house. We won't get a total boycott of the game or a ridiculously low crowd, but the ground will be more than half empty, which tells a story in itself for what should be a significant occasion in our history. Personally even ignoring the 150th stuff the ignominy and humiliation of sitting there as our former manager, captain and half our side turn up for Derby, and imbeciles around me in the stands booing/blaming them for our demise, is enough to ensure I stay well away from Ewood, as I genuinely would not be able to go and sit there without either falling out with someone or walking out in disgust. Yes .. I will be boycotting too ! I felt the disgust at Derby , fans with snakes chanting at Eustace whilst the 3 real crooks were sat in the main stand , laughing at them . Suhail and Gestede should reap the world wind in every game ,we play at home or away ! Waggott even chatted to fans on one of the service areas ,I believe . 5 Quote

What will happen is gates will continue to drop year on year as we fall down the leagues. Thats your protest right there - but this lot do not care one iota. They’ll just shut the ‘unviable’ academy, the ‘not fit for purpose’ training ground, the ‘surplus’ Riverside and on and on. Absolutely…death of a thousand cuts, boiling frog…incremental decline. 4 Quote
Tomphil2 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago No chance will the Derby game be a bumper crowd aside from the thousands they bring to boost it. Live tv game ? Cat A due to expected away following = 12 k home fans with probably less actually inside the ground. It'll fall flat on it's face and the nation will laugh. 1 Quote

The Derby game is category A pricing for match tickets and Platinum in hospitality. They must be expecting a good attendance 🤔 Quote

Best one that happened here was the 1875 thing where left the stands on 75 mins that certainly got the attention. 3 Quote

Mattyblue Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Fifteen years and they still don’t have a clue about the fanbase. It’s on TV, at half 12, so Derby won’t be fetching many, so no sizeable away support to fleece (the usual reason for Cat A) and why would our fans go out their way at those prices to just see a one off kit and Kevin Gallacher et al wandering round the pitch at 12.15? The only chance of a semi decent crowd was a ticket promotion. Hey ho, another embarrassing afternoon incoming. 2 Quote

Backroom Tom Posted 3 hours ago Backroom Posted 3 hours ago I enjoyed the link up with Blackpool on their not a Penny more campaign when we protested around the ground. I think having it packed outside the ground but not in sends a message as well, get some tannoys like that annoying shouty man at parliament, fireworks etc 1 Quote

Rubber chickens and ref's whistles at the ready. 4 Quote

Backroom Mike E Posted 1 hour ago Backroom Posted 1 hour ago I wonder if a boycott by attending but remaining outside around Jack’s statue might be worth doing? Would look good for the cameras. Derby’s recent history with ownership, they MIGHT be willing to help, as Blackpool were a decade ago. 3 Quote
Rovers96 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) We could also get in touch with the Sheffield Wednesday Community to do a joint protest on 6th December & 29th December game. Was thinking where both sets of fans wear T-shirts with the lines “GET OUT OF OUR CLUBS” and a picture of the Venkys & chansiri. Would get people talking if we all wore the same thing. Yes, but we need media coverage of the fact why the attendance is so shit - not the Sky coverage, but because we hate the regime, and that's why it's happening. I'm happy to sign an online petition stating when I started watching live (1978), how long I was a ST holder (approx 1980-2010), why I won't go (them), when I will go (when they fuck off), job done!
