I know the club does read this message board and I want to make it very clear, for the £400k a year salary I am happy to be a low responsibility CEO/fall guy

Sorry to be Owen Coyle but i'll do it for 50k plus perks and benefits.

I won't hide down south either and i'll happily fly to Pune weekly if that's what it takes to sort this club out !

I get the overall message and have no problems with that but that first sentence is just a complete and total fucking lie.

They're rattled aren't they? Good!

Suhail’s supposedly nowhere to be seen. Bob Coar’s apparently running the club. League attendances are unofficially down to around 6000 with an unofficial boycott clearly happening. The club releasing a video asking people to stop saying nasty things. Venky’s no longer sending funding over.

I hope I’m right.

I've been saying the same recently.

Might be way off the mark, but it's feeling like the end game in a lot of respects.

Is there a specific incident they're referring to for that video to be uploaded?

Otherwise it's an utterly bizarre thing to post.

they always come up with the token "blame the fans for all the clubs problems" there must be a bit of disquiet behind the scenes,it`s a stock response from them, hopefully venkys are going to **** off and leave us to build a football club again

Just playing the victims again and trying to sow divisions between supporters, making out that those who complain/criticise are the villains here and are behaving unreasonably.

Of course those of us with any grasp on reality know that when a group of people take a sledgehammer to a football club, run it into the ground, and drag its reputation and name through the gutter those complicit in it should not be surprised when criticism comes their way.

I get the impression, like with Elliot Jackson, they'd love to ban/stop the 'problem' fans from attending games so they can just carry on dismantling in peace with a few thousand head in sand gang behind them at Ewood. Only it isn't so easy when you can't revoke access for complaining.

I'd like to think they are panicking here - knowing the damage (and growing) done since the summer, the plummeting gates and atmosphere at Ewood - and they are really so daft they think a video like this is going to change the direction of things.

I know I am and I'm sure many others are at the point where words are meaningless. They can promise the earth, release videos and all manner of other gimmicks it doesn't matter any more. The damage has been done and only serious action turns this around. That means regime change, no less.

They're either completely and totally out of touch with reality and how people are feeling after what has gone on here or are deliberately on the wind up with stuff like this, knowing they'll provoke more outrage.

Yep, from Eustace going onwards it has been such a total farce they no longer can keep a lid on it.

They got lucky with a few decent managers in a row that managed to keep the show on the road and crowds stayed fairly stable (still far too low, but steady), leaving the regime to quietly get on with their cutbacks.

But like everything in life, too many cut backs and overall neglect has led to the  dam breaking (quite literally in some ways) and they are scuttling around like insects when a rock is lifted.

What bugs the life out of me is that Blackburn Rovers fans are not militant, we are not. Blackburn Rovers fans are not excessively abusive and DO support the team.

The level of support from the fans, when continually having custard pies thrown in their face is far greater than what the owners would get at any other club, I am absolutely convinced of it.

No, and it never will.

They will still be here in 10 years time with them crowing about how competitive we are a league or two lower.

Why Venkys continue to own us and wont try and sell, despite making large annual losses but likewise wont try and chase promotion to where the big money is...is one of lifes great mysteries. Seems completely pointless. Unless theres some dodgy tax write off scheme going on...which is more likely I suspect.

If a billion pound company has a couple of small loss makers, it may save them more in tax gains than the losses we make.

Possibly also also trying to discourage adverse comments on social media, like they're monitoring it and fans could get in trouble?

They picked one of the players with no sense of the change over the last 15 years and wrote him a script.

We have seen this a few times over the years(that scum fullback etc) including Dunny.

They are running out of wiggle room....the CABAL must have had a meeting and thought of ways to deflect the blame WITHOUT too much getting to Pune.

There is no such thing as a Board of Directors just Sohail and his quislings.

The kitchen table in Pune HAS to hear more about our 'deathfall' . How can we get in personal difficulty if all we are doing is challenging them?

They are back to the dived and conquer tactics but utter pointless this time.

The boy who cried wolf will be ignored now even if hes about to be eaten this time. Happy clappers aren't happy clappers anymore just look at the ground and zero atmosphere that is now regular not the odd one.

People have had enough.

If our quasi-oligarch owners really are so rich, why aren't they treating us like a frivolous plaything, like other unfathomably wealthy, psychopath owners?

Yeah yeah, FFP limits how much they can invest in the playing squad... fine (I probably accept, and espouse, such arguments more than I should).

But what's stopping them from investing millions in Ewood and reviving it such that it's one of the best stadiums and matchday experiences in England? (or at least a goddamn drainage system that actually works?)

What's stopping them from subsidising a top-flight women's team? Boom, obvious goodwill and PR.

Why all the murmurs and handwringing about the immense costs of a Cat 1 Academy? Fuck the cost. You should be able to take legitimate pride in producing the likes of Adam Wharton, not belatedly mumbling about not realising how good he is.

Sustainability this, financial implications that... fuck that. Sell some tract of land in India that you own for god knows why and blow it on Rovers infrastructure and the wider community. Stop pretending Rovers are some sort of long-term investment that will eventually pay off* and embrace the insanity of being rich enough to own a sports club.

*Probably the fiction they need to spin to India's 'Enforcement Directorate'.

(I honestly wonder if this line of attack could effectively hit their pride...)

Who exactly is supposed to have been abused, other than us fans for the last 15 years?

I don't condone personal abuse of any kind, but if you poke a bear you get a reaction, albeit Rovers fans have always been more of the Care Bear variety, not verocious at all, but it is the quiet ones you should not start baiting.

Getting McCloughlin to come out to give this message is also pathetic from Pasha, the owners and Gestede, whoever made this happen, you'd get more respect if you fronted up yourself rather than putting a player in front of the camera who I don't believe anyone has any anomosity towards.

They will use this to ensure any sign of descent in the crowd is dealt with by ejections, because they now have this excuse of "abuse won't be tolerated", I didn't think the owners/leaders could stoop much lower, but they keep exceeding expectations.

Hands up, I didn't even recognise the player delivering this nonsense - although to an extent it demonstrates my ignorance, that's what they've reduced us to.

Serious question:

Is this claptrap in response to a specific incident or is it just a "We dont want to hear any criticism inside the stadium?" type thing?
